We were with Kissmart, Quick and Priest. We were so delayed for the 130 tour due to traffic in Rift Valley, but our guide got in touch w them, and they waited for us. They were so nice to talk to and walking around the city with them made me feel safer. We did cut our tour short due to time issues and having to leave for the airport. Their respective stories are so inspirational to others. They are doing great work for the needy in their city. Thank you for being you!

These former street kids are brilliant! They experienced a lot and we got a lot of insights in their life, the places where they stayed and felt really safe with them. It was great fun! Also the food in the end was great and authentic.

Would totally recommend! Typhoon and Priest were the best company to explore downtown Nairobi with. I felt safe and had a lot of fun, and learned many new things.

Very interesting walking tour to an area you could not visit on your own. Didn't receive the local lunch mentioned and felt obliged to give some money to buy food for homeless children but overall an interesting tour to see what 'real life' is like for many people.

I was in Nairobi for the 6th United Nations Environment Assembly, and I found about this tour from a friend. I highly recommend it. We were guided by “King”, an inspiring, kind, and intelligent man. King has surmounted incredible odds, growing up as an orphan, living on the streets in the slums of Nairobi since he was 5 years old. They call him the “Street Professor”. I am convinced one day he will be a man of great influence. We saw King in action negotiating with a street beggar (he was checking the man needed help and was not taking advantage of our generosity) and we both agreed he should be working for the UN. It was a really interesting and enriching experience.

Inspiring tour of the real Kenya, the real Nairobi. Amazing tour with Priest, King and many more individuals that accompanied us. We are really thankful for this experience on our first day in Nairobi and would reallu recommend this to foreigners. We walked through the streets, exchanged a lot on all topics, got to know Priest and how he grew up, and even dansed together in the restaurant at the end. Thank you, Priest! Elise & Mumu

The tour was extraordinary and something I would highly recommend to everybody who's interested in an insight view into the life of thousands of Nairobeans that didn't have the luck to be borne on the bright side. I was and I am still deeply impressed from the way our guide King has gone, his calm and convenceing reflections not just about his own life but the situation in his city and country in general, and I also very much like d to see how his fellows and people in downton in general interacted with each other, good guys and a lot of laughings, happy that I did it, sure to do so again...

This was an amazing way to see Nairobi. Quick, Typhoon, Tsunami and the Priest were excellent tour guides. They shared their stories with us as we saw the streets of downtown. The food at the end was a great way to try authentic African cuisine.

Wonderful experience once in a lifetime to discover another part of the city, where you can’t go on your own. But with guidance I felt completely safe and secure during the tour. Definitely recommend it

It is an experience you don't want to miss!! Everybody was telling me that the center of Nairobi is dangerous, but I felt right at home with those guys. Walking in the hub of the city, meeting their friends, visiting the market, listening to their amazing stories of survival and companionship in the hard times, riding the matatu, I felt like a local! And last but mot least, the visit to the slum where my guide was born and to the scholl those tours help sustain. A most powerful experience. And reminder of how something so little for us can be of great help to the needy ones. Great respect for those people and their work. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and anyone who visits Nairobi and I will definitely do it again, both for the great fun and the support we are able to give them.

I went out with Typhoon, King, and Priest. I did the tour at the end of my stay due to a busy schedule but I would recommend it the first thing to do in Nairobi. I was travelling solo and was a bit insecure most of the time but doing this tour with this cool group and hearing their stories made me inspired and more comfortable navigating around the city. The tour guide will share all the ins and outs of the city in detail, safe areas, what to look for, and many more. The best thing I did in Nairobi. Thanks for an amazing city tour!

This was a terrific tour. Our guide was Typhoon and he showed us parts of the city we could never have explored alone. He was passionate about the opportunity he has been given to leave his street life behind and the importance of being a role model to others. It’s a wonderful initiative and we highly recommend the tour.

I really recommend this tour. It’s a different, honest and special way to get to know the city center, by getting to know and understand a little bit of the people who live in it. It’s educational, inspiring, interesting, sincere and important everything that happens. It’s a privilege for them to be able to open to us and hear their story.

The tour was interesting and gave you a worthy insight to the life of people living in Nairobi. We felt safe being surrounded by three guides while we were striving in the Down Town streets. Taifun told his life story and you really felt for him.

After spending more than a week in Nairobi and around Kenya on safari and visiting various different tourist locations, this walking tour was an absolute highlight. We highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to truly understand the daily life of average Kenyans from various socio-economic backgrounds. Our guide was raw, honest and compelling. The tour was authentic, eye-opening and educational on many levels. We ended the tour with lunch and had the opportunity to try various traditional Kenyan dishes which were delicious and filling. We felt safe and able to be ourselves during this tour. Simply do not hesitate to engage in this life-changing tour experience.

Our driver was a bit worried...would we be safe? He needn't have been. We were met by Typhoon (everyone has a street name), joined by others 'for security'. We felt 100% at ease and cared for in places where it seemed we were the only tourists. Uptown - Downtown - Midtown, a walk with the guys sharing their stories, fist-bumps and welcomes from loads of people they knew along the way. We were introduced to more Swahili words and listened to how life on the streets and in prison had been until they became role models and guides. As one said 'sharing what happened helps us - it's a bit of therapy.' The Hindu Temple (free food on Fridays), the church (food when there's a wedding to crash), the hang-out spot by the big TV screen, gang living under the bridge and more. A fascinating insight including some of the grimmer aspects of survival told with a great sense of fun. The nickname for Nairobi? Nai robbery! For politics - Politricks. We regretted walking without some cash to buy food for younger kids on the streets now - lots of roadside stalls. It's an easy walk through bustling areas - the stationary empty matatu used as a quiet spot to sit at one point. A genuine insight and 100% recommended. Good luck to you all Nai Nami!

Great opportunity to see a different side of Nairobi as told through the eyes of a former street kid himself. Unfortunate stories but also not free from hope. Taking this tour directly supports the lives of the types of children you learn about while also touring an area of the city normally overlooked by tourists.

We got to places in Nairobi we otherwise would never see. The story of Quick made us realize that being a kid in the streets of Nairobi is really though. So glad he and the other guys are able to make a living by showing us around.

I had such a great time with King showing me around Nairobi. He's very knowledgeable, and gives you an insight into what it's really like for some people living on the streets in Nairobi. Quite a moving experience. Thoroughly recommend.

This is an absolute MUST during your stay in Nairobi. These guys are amazing storytellers and their energy is vibrant. You can ask them anything you want. We have been with our kids (students) and for them it was also a very impressive experience. One that you won't forget. It shows you a completely other side of life and it is amazing that these young men have been able to turn their lives around. By joining you also have a positive impact on the young streetkids of today.
