Explore the villages and landscapes around Tenerife’s Mt Teide and the Masca valley on a full-day tour! After leaving southern Tenerife, make your way through the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Teide National Park where otherworldly volcanic sights abound. Pass through Vilaflor, one of Spain’s highest villages, stop for photos at the island’s famous dragon tree over 3000 years old in Icod De Los Viños and then enjoy plenty of free time to explore Garachico the original port of Tenerife which was devastated by the last volcano eruption and Masca the village on a cliff the gorgeous Canarian village tucked into the hills. With much much more to see and discover with this trip you will not be disappointed.
You will have time for lunch in a recommended restaurant or take your own lunch which there are many places to sit and eat.
November to May can be a little cold in the mountains.

Take a lovely walk around the famous rock formations with great views of Mount Teide Volcano and the National Park (DUE TO THE FIRES THIS WEEK THIS AREA IS NOT ACCESSABLE) 20TH AUGUST 2023

See the Chiñero volcano lava fields (the most recent of the eruptions here in Tenerife 1906) (DUE TO THE FIRES THIS WEEK THIS AREA IS NOT ACCESSABLE) 20TH AUGUST 2023

Stop At: Parque del Drago, Paseo de Nicolas Estevez Borges 7, 38430 Icod de los Vinos, Tenerife Spain
Stop off in Icod de los Vinos to take a look at the old dragon tree 3000 years old. ( the old folks tale is if the tree is cut it will bleed.)
The village of Icod is rustic with the typical church and plaza.

Stop At: Masca Valley, Tenerife Spain
Spend some time here in possibly the most beautiful villages in Tenerife. I tiny hamlet hidden in the folds of western Tenerife. A community of people who wanted to be hidden from the rest of the island. Amazing views of a gorge leading down to Los Gigantes.

Stop At: Piscinas Naturales El Caleton, Avenida Tome Cano, 38450 Garachico, Tenerife Spain
Garachico being the original first port in Tenerife until destroyed in 1706 by the volcano erupting. Having time to take a stroll through the town center or take a seat in the plaza under the trees and enjoy the scenery.

The pros are the experience was well rounded with beautiful scenery. On a sunny day you will see breath taking views from the valleys. It's definitely an experience you want to have. For the cons, Unfortunately the coach came late due to an accident on the motorway. The guide could have encouraged more interaction between tourists since we were going to spend the day together. The guide could have had a louder speakers at times it was difficult to hear him. Lastly, the trip could have been a couple've hours shorter. To be fair we got what we were looking for which was to see mount Teide and to experience the Masca Valley, thanks for the experience we enjoyed our trip.Charlotte_N

For the low price this tour is well worth it. We booked onto this tour the day before because the weather forecast was looking a bit grey but actually you travel up so high in the mountains that you’re above the clouds for some of it, so we still got to see the sun that day. We had Peter as our tour guide and he was fun and informative, keeping us entertained during the driving sections, which there are a lot of - as you would expect on a trip covering so much of the island. Our driver Pedro was very capable and we felt safe the whole journey. We didn’t eat at the lunch place because I’d seen some reviews saying it wasn’t good. We packed a lunch and ate that but there are lots of food options in the area. There was no pressure to buy from the recommended lunch restaurant. The reason I gave the tour 4 stars is because I felt the ratio of time spent at food stops to seeing things stops felt a little skewed towards food stops - although this didn’t ruin the tour. Overall, it’s really worth doing.Amit_g

Tip was really excellent and 100% value of money , we were picked first by coach from hotel in the morning and coach pass through major part of city so it was a brief city tour as well ,otherwise we would never travelled to that part of city. Journey to Mt Teide was superb and it was really great experience to pass through some amazing terrain especially when returning from Mascha Village where coach pass through high Mountain road . Overall this tour is worth the money as you are paying just 30 £ per person and whole day tour with good commentary from guide about places and it's history was truly amazing experience. This was one of the best part of our Tenerife trip. Definitely recommended.Dilyana_H
