We took the camping tour of mt batur, and it was such a wonderful experience. We were guided by subagia, who made sure we were safe, and all our needs are met. He enjoys helping his guests and this is very evident in his interactions with us. he happily takes pictures for us, and serves us food, makes sure we are warm, and kept checking on us from time to time. He kept with our individual pace, and was never short of encouraging words for us to keep going. We thoroughly enjoyed his company and his stories. He was a very big part of why the camping trip was worth it. Thank youuuu

This experience has been simply wonderful. Our guide Subagia was very kind and helpful asking us if we were tired or we have to take a break. He has explained us the trekking route before we started. We have enjoyed the sunset, had dinner and then we have talked around the bonfire with our friend Soubagia about indonesian tradition and culture, It was amazing

This tour had every detailed covered from the moment we were picked up to the moment we were dropped off. Completely individualised to suit our wants and needs. Our driver Bayu and our guide Kuas absolutely made this your perfect. Even before we were picked up they communicated well and followed up with us. The drive was very comfortable just us 2 in the car. Everything stated in the tour was explained to us again by Bayu and also had a great time talking, answering all our questions and resting. We told him our plans and helped us organise our boat ride we needed afterwards. We drove past some spots and he was happy to make a plan to stop on our way back after. When we met Kuas he was very friendly and helped us up the volcano. He was very experienced and knew the volcano very well and very knowledgeable. He took us a faster but steeper route with better views. He explained us the options and we were happy for this way. The hike itself was a challenge but felt very accomplished when we finished. We were pretty slow and needing lots of stops but Kuas always made us feel comfortable and safe. We saw monkeys and lots of amazing spots on the way. When we made it to the top it was so amazing to see the sunset. The food prepared was great. The cooking of the egg in the volcano steam was a highlight! Kuas even made a fire for us after dinner. The tent was all set up and comfortable. Then we woke up early to get ready for the sunrise and Kuas made sure we had a perfect spot that wasn’t crowded. He was also an amazing photographer getting so many brilliant shots. The hike down was a easier route and was lovely and Kuas knew the best spots. The Luwak coffee plantation was fun to learn how it is made and taste different flavours. The hot springs was also incredible! Then Bayu took us back and he helped us get our boat tickets and make sure we were all okay before he left. This is definitely one of the most amazing experiences I have had!

What a mind-blowing adventure. Our guide Kuas was so helpful and encouraging on the hike up! He was patient and didn’t make me feel bad for needing to take rest breaks. He thought of every detail and was really prepared. The food cooked by Kuas in the volcano was a highlight. The tent was well set up and comfortable. We had the best seats for the sunrise with a breakfast from Kuas. We have photos for a lifetime of memories. This was a great adventure and an excellent way to see the sunset, sunrise, monkeys and the caldera.

I thought I’d beat the early start by going up the evening before and camping. Well, the fireside camp and meal were great but my sleep not so much - the ground is still hard under the squab. Maanwiss my guide figured me out quickly and kept things to a sensible pace up the hill. Having the summit pretty much to ourselves for a beautiful sunset, and then watching the lines of head torches coming up pre-dawn the next morning was pretty cool. Maanwiss told me heaps of geological history, pointed out his village and all the local geography, made sure I was well fed and carried the stuff I didn’t really need all the way up and all the way down. You couldn’t meet a nicer guy or a better guide, and I really recommend him. Take the camping option if you want to experience Gunung Batur without and then with the crowds. Seeing it both ways was pretty special.

Super glad we chose the camping tour which means seeing the sunset, sunrise and spending a quiet yet peaceful night on top of Mount Batur. Our guide Subagia was such a ray of sunshine. He gave me his hand when the climb got tough. While on top of the mountain he prepared hot drinks, food and tent for us. He went the extra mile by always checking how we were, whether he could help with anything else. We met other guest from other tour companies and their guides were nowhere as professional and caring as Subagia. We would highly recommend him to others who come to Mount Batur!

Super trip from start to finish! First stop, we had the pleasure of tasting Balinese tea and coffee, as well as chocolate, which was a lovely experience. And gave us energy for our hike. Our driver drove us to the foot of the volcano where we met our guide Kaus. First class guide, very helpful throughout our trip. Always aware of whether we were okay or if we needed something. The hike up the volcano was so beautiful, good time to take pictures, enjoy nature and a break now and then. When we got to the top we saw the most beautiful sunset and Kaus made sure we had the best place to enjoy it. We ended the day with good food, cozy bonfire and a beautiful full moon. A little cold doing the night, so remember a warm sweater 😁 Woke up to the most beautiful red sky, and from the tent we can only see the sun beginning to rise. Kaus led us to a great location, from where we had a fantastic view of the volcano and could see the sun rise. So stunningly beautiful. All the while we were served breakfast, with coffee, tea or cocoa. Service was top notch 👌🏻 When the time came and we were ready to hike back down, Kaus led us back down, where our driver was waiting and drove us to some hot springs. Where we could relax and enjoy the end of a fantastic trip and experience. Super trip and the best guide you could wish for, thank you very much Kaus for a wonderful experience.

Had the most amazing experience! Our guide, kuas made us feel welcomed, he was friendly and extremely accommodating! A downright, legend! We first drank samples of Balinese coffee at a local plantation, then we set for the hike up. We experienced the most epic sunset at in a private spot and basically had the whole volcano to ourselves. We came back to warm drinks, a campfire and local indo food. Accompanied will a magical full moon. We woke up from our campsite to a beautiful sunrise and went to another private viewing spot away from the crowds. Kuas made us warm drinks and a nice breakfast. We walked back down where our driver was waiting for us to take us to the hot springs. A great way to end the walk. This experience was so incredible and would absolutely do it again. Thank you kuas for making us feel so well looked after, you’re a star!

Wow. Wow. Wow. The highlight of our 2 week trip to Bali! The views, the food, the hike, the guide.. what a great experience. We had a magical sunset. We ate the eggs cooked from the steam of the volcano PLUS a delicious dinner. The stars.. so beautiful! For sunrise our guide took us to a remote spot where it felt we had the sunrise to ourselves as we drank hot cocoa. You could tell Kuas loves his job and he went above and beyond to make our experience so special. Highly recommend!

The spiritual ambience of the steam coming out of the volcano was overwhelming and beautiful. Right from the start Gede was a great car guide answering our Balinese cultural questions with great pride & Our tracking guide Kuas was very caring and made it his plan to make this experience something we will never forget and definitely did, he has a heart of gold, it was truely amazing. The weather was not fantastic but that is mother nature but the guys definitely made sure we were going to have a great time.

We booked this tour online. Our driver was Gede. We were picked up on time and the trip up to the carpark was great. When we got there we were greated by our guide Kuas. The climb up is steep and loose in places. Kuas was so helpfull. He explained many things and even carried my wifes backpack. When we got to the top he showed us many things. He was very caring and helpfull. The meals were simple but very good. Sitting around the fire at night was great. We rose early. We went and placed seats in a fantastic spot for the sunrise. Hard boiled eggs cooked by the volcanic steam. Hor bannana sandwiches. The views are spectacular. We are 62 and walked up and down. Well worth the experience and our guides could not have done more. On the way back we did the hot springs. Great to relax, clean up, unwind and soothe those tired muscles. Thank you

Wow! Wow! Wow! What an adventure - hiking & camping on top of a Volcano 🥾🌋⛺️ Firstly Gede arrives to pick us up, he is lovely, talkative and informative. The car is clean and comfortable. We stopped at a coffee plantation on the way which was amazing to learn all about the process and see first hand. We then arrived to the base of Mount Batur where we were greeted by Aldi, our guide on the hike up to Mount Batur and camp overnight. Aldi was so helpful and funny, a great guide! The hike up gave us an idea of how unfit we were! It is mostly long steep inclines covering different types of terrain. From rocks to loose volcanic ash. The scenery is beautiful. Aldi was amazing, carried my backpack from half way as I was struggling. He also had his hand out ready to assist at every difficult spot or larger step up. We took as many breaks as we needed, there are also four designated break spots along the way. Success we reached the top!! To such a spectacular view and the most amazing camp set up just for us which was facing the ready to view the sunrise in the morning. Dinner well, I cannot believe we had such a delicious meal on top of Mount Batur, and the ladies were lovely. The food so good and locally sourced. Lots of early morning sunrise trekkers but we had the best seat in the house, on our own section of uninterrupted views, not having to wait or jostle for photos. The trip down a lot easier than going up and I didn’t fall on my butt once-success! Gede was there ready to pick us up at the base and stop along the way to get more photos of Mount Batur from afar. I cannot recommend Gede and Aldi enough, they made the trip an absolute bucket list item done!! 🌋✅

We visited the coffee plantation first, then hiked up Mt. Batur where we stayed for the night and finally went down the next morning to relax in the hot springs. Although we were a bit unlucky with the weather, the views we got were still unforgettably beautiful! Our driver and guide, Redeka & Aldi, we're incredibly friendly and accomodating. Things to know if you're considering this tour: 1. Do not underestimate the cold! For reference, I was wearing long jeans, two long-sleeve shirts, a button up, a zip-up hoodie and a light rain coat and ended up waking up all night on my sleeping bag because I felt the cold creeping in! A hat, gloves and a scarf are not a bad idea. 2. The tour is definitely not easy. I read somewhere that it was supposed to be doable for kids 6 and up and I definitely cannot speak for that. As long as you're a healthy young adult though, you'll manage, and reaching the top is so rewarding. The guides are very used to the trip so they might be going a little too fast at times but since there is only one guide per booking, you can definitely set your own pace. Don't hesitate to communicate! 3. Food might be difficult if you have dietary restrictions. We didn't have any issues but I imagine it couls be a problem for others so inquire first. All in all, it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will always stay with me. There might be some uncomfortable parts but they're worth it!

A lovely experience, both Gede (our driver) and Jerry (our guide) were wonderfully patient and helpful throughout the tour. Jerry made the trek and the camping experience a enjoyable and memorable one. Gede was absolutely a delight to talk to and to exchange views about Bali and the Balinese culture. A must do experience! Tip: Best to do the Mt Batur camping to experience sunset & sunrise, doing only sunset (or sunrise) is not recommended.

Kwas and Gudai guided us for this memorable overnight camp on the top of Mt Batur. The walk requires moderate fitness, but is worth the effort for a fascinating experience at the top of a steaming volcano. By far the better option than walking up in the dark with many other tourists, the camping was unique and special.
