Comfortable vehicle from Sorrento. Adequate time to clime to the crater and enjoy contact with Mount Vesuvius. Interesting vineyard and wine making facilities but rather superficial contact with them. A reasonable lunch.
Given the traffic congestion in the area, the tour should have at least 1.5 hours earlier. The guide was pleasant but not very informative. The connection with the park rangers was non existent as many of us had no idea where they were located and simply continued on to the crater. Since we started late we did not arrive at the winery until 2:30 and did not eat until 3 or later. The food was mediocre. Please send me a refund for this tour.
It was a great adventure to climb Mt. Vesuvius and the wine was great too! Vincenzo was a wonderful guide.
The Mount Vesuvius trip was enjoyable if not a bit rushed. The wine tour was pretty much a waste of time. We expected to have some kind of a tour/chat about the grapes, picking, bottling etc. it was actually a whistle stop visit to a storage shed, crush some grapes for a photo, have a very nice meal and test the wines. Then visit the shop to see where the wine is bottled and a bit of sales talk. Back on the coach and then an hour plus journey back to Sorrento. The guide was very excited about his upcoming wedding and added a drive past his church, the place where his ring is being made and then on the way back the place where his reception would be - this was more informative than the tour de Vineyard.
