My husband wanted to take this bus tour since we didn't have much time in Milan and at least we'd get a sense of the city. It's a hop on/hop off, but we just rode the whole loop as did most of the rest of the people, probably because it was cold outside and the bus was warmer. Unfortunately, because it was December, the top deck had a plastic cover to keep the heat in which meant you couldn't take decent photos of anything. Comically, my husband was lulled to sleep by the motion of the bus and spent most of the tour napping. When he was awake he said the headphones where shocking him and so he stopped using them. I noticed a spark when I plugged mine in. So something is up with their audio system. I thought the audio information was okay, but the price at 22 euros a person was too high for what you got. I wouldn't do this again. My husband & I visited Milan for a couple of days Sept 12 & 13, 2018, and since we were short on time, decided to take one of the open top tours from Duomo Square to get an overall feel for the city. My husband & I visited Milan for a couple of days Sept 12 & 13, 2018, and since we were short on time, decided to take one of the open top tours from Duomo Square to get an overall feel for the city. The guy at the bus stop, an Egyptian (he said) with glasses, ripped us off for 40 euros. He told us the total price would be 44 euros for the 2 of us, and my husband gave him 3 paper bills, ( 2 20's and 1 five). He then claimed he didn't have change (after he'd been there all day!!!) and gave my husband the 5 euro bill back and told him to go across the street and get change. I waited there and he gave me the 2 tickets. When my husband returned and gave him 4 euro coins, he said "Where's the rest of it??" We both then reminded him he had kept the 40 euros and put the money in his pouch, and he denied it. We started to quietly argue with him, and he then said..."I am Egyptian! I wouldn't cheat you!!" What a joke. Out of desperation and exasperation, and because the bus was approaching, we chalked it up to a bad experience and gave him another 40 euros. The tour itself is a joke. The recorded commentary is laughable. You have no idea where you are in relation to what is being said on the recording. When we arrived back at our hotel that evening, we sat down and went all through our receipts and finances for the day, and sure enough....we were short the 40 euros. Ripped off and left a bad taste in our mouth. Would never recommend this company, and be VERY careful this doesn't happen to you! This guy probably does this all day long.I am used to take a tour with these buses when I visit a city for the first time as I reckon the best way to have a glimpse of the city. I am used to take a tour with these buses when I visit a city for the first time as I reckon the best way to have a glimpse of the city. In Milan there were this company and the international City Sightseeing. I choose Open Tour Milan as I thought that being a local company they will do a better service. I was wrong. Same route, same price of city Sightseeing with a very bad frequency, a poor customer service onboard and in my opinion a price to expensive comparing with the few things you might see in Milan.I did this tour today. This Company really needs to have live guided tours in the min languages. The commentary was out of sync with what we were seeing. I did this tour today. This Company really needs to have live guided tours in the min languages. The commentary was out of sync with what we were seeing. I missed so much by trying to see what the recorded message was talking about. “Near here’ is not good enough when talking about the worst serial killer in Milan!! We’d paid 22€ to be given a good tour and got something very mediocre. This was a terrible experience to say the least and 1 star is very generous !!! We arrived in Milan on Friday. This was a terrible experience to say the least and 1 star is very generous !!! We arrived in Milan on Friday. We purchased a two day excursion on the open tour bus to start on Saturday and finish on Sunday. We paid 66 euros for 2 adults and 2 children. We started our tour on Saturday which was fine nothing exceptional. On Sunday, as we got on to the bus we were refused entry as the person who did the tickets for us had put 1 day but charged us for 2!!!! This turned like a nightmare as the bus hostess decided to ask police who intervened much to our disgust and humiliation with two young kids!! Luckily we managed to get an online proof bank statement!!! At this point the manager Katerina was extremely helpful, but explained that because our ticket were still invalid, we had to stay on the bus for the entire route and we were unable to hop on and off ! The reason she gave was, if we were to hop off we would go through that very long explanation of their error!!!! We have written a formal complaint to no avail... I took to writing this review to warn other traveler to make sure they get what they pay for and double check their tickets. Never leave it to trust WE WOULD NEVER GO WITH THIS YELOW BUS COMPANY AGAIN !!!This is a waist of money! Not reliable as a hop on hop off bus! Suppose to show up every 20 minutes, took 30 minutes and 3 busses to pass by from the red hop on hop off busses! (Better use this company). The tour guide is not accurate, information given is not aligned with location. In addition t...
This is a waist of money! Not reliable as a hop on hop off bus! Suppose to show up every 20 minutes, took 30 minutes and 3 busses to pass by from the red hop on hop off busses! (Better use this company). The tour guide is not accurate, information given is not aligned with location. In addition they sell it as a 2 line service. How can it be when line 2 only shows up 3 times a day?!?! Only good thing is that they have enough spaces, I believe that must have been a sign not to hop on.
