Our tour guide was David. Very knowledgeable and personal. We had a great day and it was so nice that he was able to work it out so the weather was great as well. 😁
Had a super if not tiring day with guide Michael as we toured the beautiful city Quito. First up the famous cable cars and we had a clear day to see the stunning scenery of Quito. Always be careful not to push too much at the higher altitudes. From there it was off to the equator and museum for some interesting information and demonstrations on the difference between north and south. After a quick local lunch we did a nice window tour of new Quito, the business and retail center. I was staying in the historic district so there was no need to tour there. We then went up to the Virgin Mary statue, and Michael gave me really nice history of her meaning. One last stop at the famous La Ronda street known for its designer pubs and restaurants. A full day for sure...and I was so appreciative that Michael let me design part of the tour. Quito is a huge city with many faces. I believe we saw all of them on our tour.
Michael was a great tour guide. He took us where the weather would be good so we can see the best of everything in case the weather got bad. He even changed the tour up based on things we had already seen. Great tour guide, great trip.
