Essentially, Viator sold me a ticket that they didn't have. They sent me an email that "confirmed" my ticket and that I would receive the actual ticket in a separate email. I never received the email but did receive a call from them stating they made a mistake and sold me a ticket they didn't have. They tried to blame "their system" and just about everybody else. This caused me massive delays and travel problems as you could imagine. Machu Picchu is amazing but I would stay away from Viator.
A very easy way to book , would recommend
I decided to go back to Machu Picchu but this time I just wanted to spend time in the Inca ruins and admire how beautiful it is. It was super easy to get my ticket, the supplier just emailed it to me! All you need to make sure is to print it and enjoy!!
Everyone should try and see Machu Picchu. We found Viator to be professional and they made it extremely easy to book our entrance tickets. Many people will say not to bother staying in Machu Picchu Pueblo Aguas Caientes, but we disagree. One day is plenty but well worth the stay. Lots of great food and viewing areas. MAKE SURE you are lined up for the bus at least 40 minutes before departure. The line up early morning can be 5-6 blocks long. Even in heavy rain so if you want to be there for sunrise be really early. The locals call this area the eyebrow of the jungle so it is important to be prepared for rain, hot and chilly weather. The weather here can change in minutes.
Also,we stayed in Ollantaytambo for 3 days and it was a great experience. Quaint and beautiful town to relax and enjoy the friendly, easy going people, ruins and hikes. This little town is clean and has a surprising variety of restaurants with great food and friendly.
Safe and happy travels.
This was a great price, but unfortunately the first voucher is not the one you need. Its the official voucher, which I didn't get until the NIGHT BEFORE, so I needed a taxi ride to and from an internet place, which is NOT GOOD SERVICE! MAKE SURE YOU PRINT THE OFFICIAL ONE OUT. YOU NEED IT TO ENTER!
