I am a travel agency owner. I booked this company for my own personal travel before considering them for a bride and groom that will be getting married at the same Costa Mujeres resort in 4 months. It was a terrible experience from the time I arrived in Cancun. First, we exit the airport, no signage with our name anywhere in sight. I call the driver, he tells us to go where he parked the vehicle and he'll be waiting there. Next, we arrive at the vehicle with our luggage without any assistance only to find no driver and a locked, dirty SUV. The SUV was not just a little dirty, it was seriously fully covered with a grey or clay colored muddy substance everywhere. After waiting 5 minutes, we call the driver back to ask where he is, he says he was standing outside the vehicle. (That was obviously untrue because we were already there.) We tell him we're at the vehicle, read the license plate to him, and almost 7 minutes later he comes running and claims he was looking for us, still no sign in hand. Fine, I decided let's just get in and head to the resort after a long day of traveling. We are now headed there, I ask for a bottle of water, as drinks are listed as included for water, soda, and beer. The driver, who told us he was 18yo, offers to drive me somewhere to buy my own water. Shocked and confused, I asked, "aren't drinks included?" The driver shrugs and once again asked if I would like to stop and buy some water. I declined, so we drove one hour to the resort, thirsty and unaccommodated. We enjoy our time experiencing the resort and we're departing the next day. We heard nothing about our return pick up. After going to bed early to make our 9am spa reservation, I awake in the middle of the night to a text stating the driver will arrive by 9am to transport us to the airport. I immediately responded, "No. Our flight time is 1:30pm. Please come for 10:30 or 11am." The text was received from the company at 9:30pm. My response was sent at 2:30am when I woke up and saw it. As we are walking to the spa at 8:45am, I receive a message on WhatsApp that the driver will arrive at 9am and will only wait 15 minutes. After several messages back and forth, I call the person whom stated their name was "Roger " and informed that he owned the company. I offered Roger to refund us for our massages or to return by 10:15am. He began yelling stating no changes were allowed within 24hours. I reminded him, he only gave notice of the pickup time 11.5 hours prior while I was asleep leaving only 6.5 hours of actual notification. After more back and forth that cut into our massage time, I affirmed we would be ready by 10:15am and that I was done speaking about it. After our amazing couple's massage, I arrived to the main lobby to checkout. (We had the bellhop come retrieve our bags at 8:30am so they were already there.) After checkout, I texted the same number in WhstsApp informing that we were ready to head to the airport. The response was that no one would be available to transport us until after 11:15am. I responded that was too late, only to receive "I'm sorry" as the response. That left us shoving out another $70 for a taxi. We weren't offered any portion of our payment or any other compensatory ammendment as a refund. It was a waste of money. The failure to deliver was astronomical. I have never had an experience this bad, nor have I ever experienced such horrible customer service and communication with a transportation company. Save your time. Use the private transportation option via Amstar. It may cost a few more dollars, but you will get exactly what you pay for.
