"Authentic Ninh Binh" tour company picked the four of us up at our hotel in Hanoi in a large, newer, very comfortable 9 seater van and took us the two or so hours to Ninh Binh (Tam Coc). Along the way our tour guide, Vu, who spoke English well, gave us much good information and entertainment. Upon arrival, we cycled around the area, enjoying the scenery - rice paddies, rivers, villages and of course, the karst mountains. We enjoyed a cooking class followed by lunch. We went on the Tam Coc (three caves) boat trip, on a small foot paddled boat, and then visited the ancient capital. It was a very interesting and enjoyable tour, and well done by the tour company and Vu.Even though half of the tour had to be changed due to the virus, it still ended up being a really nice tour and we got to see a bit more! Our tour guide Wu was so lovely and informative about the areas. He did what he could when he realised some places were shut but he overcame though challenges and thought of something on the spot. The places we visited where still so beautiful and peaceful!Vu was an amazing guide & made sure that the whole trip was interesting & informative. My partner and I had an amazing day exploring Ninh Binh with our tour guide Son. We were part of a group of five people (small groups are absolutely the way to go) and learnt alot about the region’s history. Son is very warm, knowledgable and his English is impeccable. He had a great sense of humour and always communicated our next move so we knew what to expect. The bus ride was great, the sights were incredible. I cannot recommend this tour enough. Water and a nice lunch was provided and we took plenty of stops which was great for hydration and comfort. It might cost more than other tours but well worth the extra expense.Great day full of activities. Vu our tour guy was super friendly and knowledgeable about all aspects of the tour.
