Our tour guide/driver Rogy was so accommodating it went above and beyond to make sure each member of my party had the best time they possibly could. A great way to sample the craft brewing talent right in our own backyard!!! Spent a wonderful afternoon touring 4 local breweries around Steel Town. The tour bus was clean and comfortable and the whole afternoon was well planned and organized. Each stop had a unique vibe and experience. Loved meeting Brewmasters who shared their history and passion for their craft and not to mention tasting all the delicious beers our community has to offer. The organizer even took into account special dietary requests and the food and beer pairing at Merit was absolutely delicious! I would highly recommend this tour for locals and tourists alike. Prior to this trip I had no idea how many craft breweries had opened in Hamilton. I learned a lot about why it's picking up and sampled at 4 different stops at different points throughout the city. Each one had its own take on what to focus on for our tour which kept everyone engaged in more than just the beer; mind you the beer was still my favourite part! Our tour guide on the bus and coordinating at the stops was Paul and he was very easy going yet kept things running smooth without ever making us feel rushed. A very cool way to spend an afternoon!Wife and I and a bunch of friends joined Paul and Angela on a nice Sunday afternoon on the beer bus. Wife and I and a bunch of friends joined Paul and Angela on a nice Sunday afternoon on the beer bus. Paul did a great job preparing us for the tour and giving us some background info without stealing the thunder from the breweries. We first hit Custom Arts on to Merit, Grain and Grit and closed er off at Fairweather. We have since been to West Avenue as well. What a great time ! Had no idea Hamilton had such great beer and cider to offer. Custom Arts did a phenomenal job explaining the journey and showing us around the brewery, Merit where we had lunch had the best prepared sausages ( no filler, great tasting) and Fresh Cut Fries were awesome too ! Did I mention the beer ? Wicked.. On to Grain and Grit which was a very unique experience where we got to pow wow with Alex who is one of the brewmasters and loved the Pineapple brew and happen to have some Candy Cane Beer which surprisingly was good too. Funny guy, and a great passion for the cause... Fairweather- abundant selection and good place to close the tour off. Highly recommend this tour, well planned, exceptional fresh beer, you won't want store bought ever again and a great way to see a number of breweries and make some friends along the way.
