Awesome experience! Our tour guide, Nate Sr, was very knowledgeable, knew where the best pictures were and was very funny! Highly recommend this tour company if you want to have a great experience.
This tour was spectacular! Everywhere you look is beautiful. We arrived early for our scheduled tour and was offered to go at an earlier time instead of waiting. We were in a group of 6 people and our tour guide was Josephine Watson. She was the best! She was so knowledgeable about the history of the canyon and Navajo culture and took the time to show us all how to get the best photos possible once inside the canyon. Definitely recommend asking for Josie!
Great experience for our first time at Antelope Canyon. Charm was our tour guide, and she was great - knowledgeable, friendly, and personable! Would 10/10 recommend.
Our guide was Stacy W. She did an excellent job providing information about her heritage and the history of the area. She was extremely helpful taking pictures and pointing out the beauty of the canyon. I would highly recommend her, she was very personable. The tour wasn't rushed at all, we had adequate time throughout.
Beautiful fun and awesome experience, definitely would recommend to anyone to go and experience this Beautiful landscaping + artifacts about the history of the land 5-Stars.
I have seen countless pictures of Antelope Canyon and knew I had to go but I couldn't decide whether to visit Lower or Upper with my limited time. I decided on Lower because of the narrow passages and the lighting being better in winter. Based on Trip Advisor reviews, I chose Dixie Ellis's team of tour guides and I definitely made the right choice. Our guide, Jarrin, was awesome! His knowledge of the canyon was expansive, from the geological factors to the formations to the photography tips. He even helped us take photos!
We had Oliver as a guide and he was absolutely incredible! Very personable and informative of Navajo culture. He knew all the great spots for some incredible desktop worthy photos!
Great tour, amazing pictures and views. The guide, Jarrin, was amazing and definitely enhanced the tour for us. Highly recommend to anyone thinking of going!
The canyons were absolutely breathtaking and our tour guide RJ was phenomenal. He was so kind, taught us about Navajo culture, and made sure we didn’t miss any picturesque views or shots. If you go, make sure you ask for RJ!
We planned our trip to the area to ensure we were able to visit Antelope Canyon since it is something we have wanted to do for several years. We did some research prior to our trip and decided on Dixie Ellis Canyon Tours. We planned to make our reservation online but noticed they offered a Veterans discount so we ended up making our reservations over the phone to take advantage of the discount. The person on the phone was helpful and informative and we were immediately provided with an e-mail confirmation which included all the details such as what time to arrive, suggestions on dressing for the tour, etc. We were able to find the office easily. We had completed the waivers online the night before and had our QR codes ready. We were asked if we wanted to join an earlier tour that was starting in about five minutes and we replied, yes. We proceeded to the outdoor patio area where we watched a Navajo man dance with various hoops before being introduced to our tour guide, Ryan. We proceeded to walk towards the lower canyon and Ryan provided us with information about the canyon and area. We were with a group of 8 people and it felt like a good size group as we proceeded through our tour. It allowed us to ask questions and get to know each other a bit as well. Immediately as we proceeded down the stairs we were in awe of the canyon itself and the beautiful colors and textures. I think we both had a general idea based on pictures we had seen but it is a different experience to actually be down walking through and taking your own pictures. We also appreciated that Ryan provided guidance and tips on how to get the best pictures using my wife's iPhone. The tour itself lasts about 60 minutes and was incredible. We felt the cost is reasonable and we really appreciated the experience. Ryan did a great job and we were impressed with the overall operation of the business. Amazing Experience!
Excellent experience! Can’t believe it until you are there. We had Queta as a guide, not only know all the key factors of the canyon but also helped us get the most Amazon pictures. Highly recommended!
The tour is absolutely stunning! What was even better was having a guide like RJ, who gave such amazing insight into the Navajo traditions of the area, took great photos of our group, and kept us laughing and in wonder through each step of the journey.
Amazing time! Stunning views! Our tour guide, Jarrin, was great! He knew all about the history of the area and the canyons. He also showed us all the cool formations inside the canyons. The best part was that he took a lot of pictures for us and they were beautiful! Highly recommend!! (PS be prepared to wear a mask!)
Dominique was an awesome tour guide! Sharing his knowledge and his families stories/experiences of the canyon as well as the First Americans culture and history was great. The canyons themselves are truly spectacular and should definitely be a bucket list destination.
We went off season, January. Weather was cold, but nice. The best part we where the only two on the tour. Our tour guide, Tony, was very interesting and made us feel very good about the tour. I will definitely go again.
Shout out to Tracy who was our guide today. She was so informative and took the best pictures. Had the angles and ideas for perfect shots. Lots of history and knowledge of the rocks and the canyon! Truly incredible, the pictures don’t give it the justice it deserves. A must do in Northern Arizona!
It was the best tour we could have chosen. We loved it!! The Lower Antelope Canyon is absolut amazing. Both Canyons are wonderful, but we all liked more the Lower one. It was almost empty, it was more fun because you have to watch your steps and "climb" a little (it has stairs and the ground is irregular and with stone, i'm afraid of heights and didn't have any problem), but it wound't have been the same without our lovely guide Charm Kaislee. She explained to us everything about the Canyon, answered all of our questions (we had a lot!), and was always very nice and have a lot of patience with us (we took a lot of photos jajaja). I would absolutely recommend this tour, and better if you go with Charm!
Ryan was our guide and he was awesome! Helped us take some fantastic photos and explained things well. This place is incredibly beautiful. A natural wonder that we were so fortunate to see.
We had an excellent experience in the lower Antilope canyon. Natasha was an amazing guide and explained everything really well. You walk through narrow and wider parts of the canyon and take a few sets of stairs. The tour takes about an hour and is great fun. I highly recommend it.
Perfect. The guide was very funny and Helpful with Taking pictures. We appreciate all about the tour he told us. Thanks
Our guide was Brandon. He was very knowledgeable and took wonderful pictures of Entelof Canyon and my family. He also taught me in detail how to take pictures with my cell phone. My family was very satisfied with the picture. He also explained the canyon-formed fixation by spraying water directly into the sand. It was a very interesting experience.
My sister and I did two Canyon tours, Dixie’s for lower and Antelope Slot Canyon Tours for the upper canyon. We learned so much more about the canyon with Jarrin Curley as our guide. He is passionate and well-informed about the geology and history of the canyon. I came away with more than just great photos! Dare I say that I liked lower antelope canyon better.
Our group loved this tour! We all took photos that we will cherish for a lifetime and our tour guide Jarren C. Was very kind and gave us a lot of information about the canyon and the area. He was wonderful! We also enjoyed the native dancer performing while we waited for our tour. This was a unique experience in the Navajo Nation that I would highly recommend!
My sister, my daughter, and I -- we LOVED IT!!! We had a great time and got to take a lot of pics! Highly recommend taking a hiking tour because you won't regret it!
Myron was a fantastic guide. He knew how to adjust each of the different phones to take incredible pictures. Pointing out all of the cool shapes, different famous shots, history stories of the canyon, his family and the Navaho people. He moved fast enough without us being rushed and missing wonderful views. Very happy customer. He really should sell his photography, better than a lot of artists I have seen. Even without optimal lighting conditions.
If I could give it more than 5-stars, I would. The tour started with a Hoop dance performance which was really nice to set the mood of the overall experience. Then our guide Josephine was just incredible. Like incredible. On the way down from the tour center to the canyon, she told us about how she came to become a tour guide for this company as well as quite a bit about the Navajo culture and language. She gave us a brief back story into the history of the Navajo nation since the Spanish arrived in the area. Along the way she pointed out the Navajo sandstone qualities that we would see throughout the trip and even showed us a piece of the sandstone where dinosaur prints could still be seen today! Then entering the Lower Canyon was just magic. Be prepared to climb up and down several really steep stairs/ladders—but the experience is totally worth it and just beyond words and photos. Josephine helped show our whole group which settings to use on iPhones and Samsung devices to get the best pictures, stopping at her favorite spots to photograph, and of course, helps take pictures of everybody in our group through the way. Amazing experience and really highly recommend this trip—if you have to choose only to do the Upper Antelope Canyon or Lower Antelope Canyon… choose the Dixie Lower Antelope Canyon for sure… and ask for Josephine.
We were brought here by Dineh Tours and our guide in the canyon Gabby took such wonderful care of us! She showed us all the shapes in the rocks, helped us take and took photos for us, and told us more about the Navajo culture and connection with the land. Additionally the new buildings are wonderful!
This is a fantastic slot canyon tour. I came here about 12 years ago. I returned recently with my partner. The canyon is just as amazing as I remembered, and the guides are much more polished now. Last time I mostly remember walking through the canyon and fending for myself to find photo ops. This time Mel knew every viewpoint and helped us find and frame the best pictures and take advantage of the light as it moved through the canyon. She also had a lot of interesting knowledge to share about the geology and Navajo traditions. Stringent COVID measures are in place. Don't go if you aren't willing to keep your mask on the whole time.
My family and I took a last minute trip to Arizona and decided to try this tour out. Let me say this is a must visit place when visiting Arizona. The tour in the canyon was amazing. Words cannot describe how beautiful the canyon was. You could see the ripples in the rocks from the waters that shaped the canyon from years of erosion. Not only was the canyon breath taking, but our tour guide made the experience even better. Melaney Earl was not only telling us about the history of the canyon but she also shared some photo taking tips. Overall this is a must see when visiting Arizona and would definitely ask for Melaney to be your guide on this trip.
