Great music with great introduction to Fado by Joao. Our food was good and our group of three couples was just the right size. Memorable experience!

Our tour guide was wonderful! We ended up with a private show as a large group canceled. Dinner was great and singers/guitar players were very entertaining.

Excellent dinner and singers. Met some wonderful people since this was a small group experience. Highly recommended for a chance to see and hear authentic Fado singers.

I read the reviews about the slow service but when we arrived at 8:30 our dinner was served almost at 11. It will be nice if the singer will tell us what the songs are about. The night tour was just a drive through town. No stops. But at 12:30 we already did not care about anything.

Touring historic parts of the city were very interesting. And Joao our tour guide gave us very special attention throughout the evening. But the Fado dinner show was beyond belief and any expectation. The restaurant owner, Antonio, welcomed us to his establishment with loving care. We ate a superb meal and then were treated to some of the best Fado music I've ever heard. It was an amazing experience. If you don't partake in an evening of Fado, then you haven't seen Lisbon. Between Joao and Antonio, my family and I enjoyed a great evening of delicious food, friendly conversation, and fascinating Fado. It was amazing beyond belief. Words fail me to describe my complete satisfaction. What an evening! Wonderful! Amazing!

This combination of sightseeing by car and dinner with Fado was worth the price but had a varied level. The one-hour sightseeing was highly informative and covered a lot in a brief time. The food in the restaurant was very traditional and an experience for those who are interested in genuine local food. I am not one of them and that means that I thought that it was dull and tasteless. The fado singer was a young woman and an older man. The woman had two sessions and she was the highlight of the experience. She was extraordinarily talented and could take remarkably high tones and really express the despair and sadness of the fado.

The Night Tour and Fado show were what I would call "average". The restaurant they took us to had us sitting in the way back. We could hear fine, but I had a very hard time seeing the singers. Also, we only had a choice of two dishes. We saw others in the restaurant with dinners that looked much more appealing than what we had, but they weren't an option for us. The reason I'm giving it four stars is due to our tour guide, Jaoa. He was amazing. I left my phone in the vehicle at the end of the night and didn't realize it until after he dropped us off. We were able to get in touch with him because my husband is resourceful. Jaoa found my phone. He let us know he would bring it back into the city in the morning. Long story short - he did. He talked with our tuk-tuk driver (who was also amazing) and they made arrangments to meet us. Not only did Jaoa return my phone, but he had the same model and charged it for me!!! Who even does that?!?! Jaoa went above and beyond to say the least and I couldn't thank him enough.

Tour was not necessary and made us the last group to sit so we could barely see the performance. We were also served the last. The place was very interesting. The host was charming, the Fado was beautiful, the food was ok.

Fado Show was nice, the dining experience/food was TERRIBLE. The food wasn’t good. Additionally there were only two servers. It appeared the main focus of the two servers was clearing off tables. Aside from it taking them over 40 minutes to bring us our entree and that was after complaining. Who knows when they would have brought us our food hadI I not complained. I would note, everyone else in the room had finished their dinner and dessert. As for the night tour, it wasn’t much. Before the Fado Show/dinner, the driver took us to a lookout point and the front of a church. Not much of a night tour tour if you ask me!

The driver/guide, Cristina was most helpful and professional and helped workout our pickup location. We are 3 couples, a total of 6 Adults. The actual restaurant left much to be desired. The food was of poor quality and it really felt as if our table was completely ignored. Everyone else had their food and their plates were being cleared before we even had our food. The singers were wonderful, but the food and the service were not. We paid $268 US Dollars per couple, or over $800 US Dollars for this tour and it was at most worth $80 per couple or $240 US Dollars. To say we were incredibly disappointed is an understatement. This was my first tour booked through Viator and if this is representative of the quality and vetting they do of the providers and their services it is my last.

Cristina took great care of us in terms of driving and explaining everything. The local meal was very good and filled me up. The Fado show was also fun to listen to.

João was the kindest and most amazing tour guide I could've asked for. What was supposed to be a private tour ended up being a private tour as the other party canceled, and João really committed to make it a special night. You get to see the best places in Lisbon, while enjoying the beautiful sunset. Afterwards you're headed to the most magical and authentic restaurant in a hidden street where Antonio goes above and beyond to make the dinner and Fado experience an unforgettable one. Dinner was delicious, very generous and the Fado show was absolutely magical. Thank you João and Antonio! You made a Colombian solo traveler absolutely happy!

I can’t speak highly enough of this tour. Our guide was very professional. He was great at communicating our pick up spot. He picked us up seamlessly/on-time, even though our airbnb was a little hard to find. I didn’t see many reviewers comment on the actual dinner/food so I thought I’d provide some insight. The restaurant was beautiful with a peaceful ambiance. The food was OUTSTANDING some of the best we had on our trip. Definitely come hungry and ready to eat!! I’m not sure if the menu varies daily or if they accommodate any dietary restrictions so please keep that in mind. First, we had a choice of red or white wine, they had soft drinks for non-drinkers. Next, they brought out fresh bread with olives and crab/tuna dips. Next, we had a big bowl of caldo verde which was delicious. The main course was a choice of a cod fish dish or a shrimp/fish dish or a pork dish. Lastly, we had a crème brûlée for dessert. Courses were spread out perfectly with fado in-between. Our tour guide drove us to a few beautiful spots in the city with some background on each, one of which might be the most instagrammable view in Portugal, maybe even top 10 in Europe in my opinion. One thing I might mention is that the restaurant/fado setting is very intimate and you do sit with whoever is in your group. This could be good or bad depending on who you luck out with in your tour. My husband and I only had two others on our tour and when we arrived the restaurant wasn’t too full, so they did offer us a table alone or with the others. As to not offend anyone we just agreed to sit as a group. The two other ladies in our group had only arrived in Lisbon earlier that day having traveled for two full days non-stop…they were exhausted and kept falling asleep during the experience. Then, one of them accidentally knocked her soda across the table all over me. Then, they asked to leave right after dessert even though there was more fado. My husband and I felt obligated to leave too since the tour guide drives everyone back together. All in all, we had a great time. Our tour guide really made the experience worth it. Just keep in mind the potential awkwardness of sitting with others in a close setting.

Joao our driver was amazing! He took us to see a beautiful sunset before the Fado Show and dinner. Fado singers were excellent and the food was fantastic! The owner/waiter/singer provided truly exceptional service and food and wine!

It was a memorable evening for several reasons. Our guide, Joao, gave us some interesting historical info on the many unique communities that he took us through. The night lights of Lisbon were beautiful. The Fado music by Marie and her group was beautiful. Wonderful guitar playing and singing. Antonio, the owner, also sang and got the people participating at one point. The food, Antonio, was superb. Some of the best we’ve had here. The restaurant had a wonderful feeling and was beautiful. It was the Guitaeras de Lisboa. We went up a narrow street, turned into an alleyway and walked into this gorgeous restaurant, totally unsuspecting. Nice surprise. Highly recommend the tour.

Our guide João was amazing telling all stories about Lisbon and it's history, and bringing us via historical places of the town. Fado show was unusual for us and therefore very exciting. And of course people - very friendly and helpful - as every very in Portugal
