Compared to the barrage of aggressive advertising and shady vendors in this touristy area, Alma's tours was a breath of fresh air. The tour was well worth the money. We considered this a highlight of our week-long stay in Cancun. I had been both hopeful and skeptical of purchasing a Mormon-themed tour. Hopeful, because I wanted the experience of being among members of our faith, with the immediate familiarity and shared values (I was also interested in the possible religious connections). I felt somewhat skeptical because I feared having religion or faith manipulated for profit. My hopes were realized and we were thoroughly satisfied. The content of the tour was historical and substantive. The religious aspects were interesting, but incidental to the tour and not dogmatic at all. Our tour guide, German, highlighted parallels and potential connections between Mayan culture and various aspects of the Book of Mormon. The majority of the content was about the Mayan civilization, architecture, history, and culture. (It was fascinating.) German gave clear expectations at all stages of the tour (e.g. when to wear masks, where to wait, etc.). He was professional, sincere, helpful, and knowledgeable. The tour van was clean, safe, and comfortable, and German was an excellent driver. After our tour of Chichen Itza, we enjoyed a wonderful traditional meal (all you can eat buffet), and then visited a spectacular cenote (which was quite crowded, but a great experience anyway). We highly recommend! We had a fabulous day trip! Alma's LDS tours picked us up from our resort in Cancun. We had a fabulous day trip! Alma's LDS tours picked us up from our resort in Cancun. On our private tour, we visited Tulum, had lunch and then visited Chichen Itza followed by a refreshing swim in a cenote. Love how they adapted the tour to make it fun and interesting for our children (ages 11, 7 and 5). Bringing in the gospel elements really made connections for the places and stories to come alive. Thank you so much for helping us create forever family memories. My wife, daughter and myself toured Chichen Itza and Tulum. This was a very worthwhile tour. David was a wonderful tour guide. He was knowledgeable and passionate about sharing his insights and knowledge.

Our family of five (including three sons ages 11-21) toured Chichen Itza, Ek Balam and the Ik Kil cenote with Mario last week. We loved our tour! We were picked up on time. We always had water to drink (and we needed it in that heat!). We loved the information about the Mayan people. Mario did such a great job even the boys paid attention the whole time. Mario was patient and encouraging with our son with special needs. This was a highlight of our trip. We highly recommend it. We will read the Book of Mormon with a new perspective now. We've been to Mexico many times but never took the time to do this tour because it was an all day experience. It was definitely worth it! Gracias Mario! We had a group of 8. The van was clean and cool and the tour guides were wonderful! We learned so much! This is our 2nd time to the Cancun area, and we've worked with Alma's both times. Would DEFINITELY tour with them again!
