This was a wonderful tour. Our tour guide/photographer (Jim) provided an excellent experience. We enjoyed all the scenic locations we visited. Jim provided interesting and entertaining commentary during the driving portions of the tour and at each stop. He was so knowledgeable about all aspects of the Lake Tahoe area, and we learned a lot about the history of the area and about the land and trees. We appreciated his outstanding photo skills and the fact that he both took professional pictures and sent them to us, as well as being willing to take pictures with our camera phones. We highly recommend this tour to anyone, and we would take it again if we visit Lake Tahoe during another season.

This tour was the highlight of our trip! We considered renting a car and going sightseeing ourselves until I saw this tour on TripAdvisor. Trust me when I say: this is the way to go! Stephanie, our guide/photographer, was amazing. Her love for the area, nature, and wildlife is apparent. She drove us to some of the most beautiful spots around the lake. In addition to her taking our photos at each location, she took the time to give us the history of each area. She also pointed out bear claw marks on the Aspen trees, beaver dams and an eagles nest. She also took us to see the salmon spawning. Absolutely amazing! The trip was relaxing. Almost like taking a stroll and catching up with an old friend. Stephanie goes at your pace and you never feel rushed. She allows plenty of time for you to take in the sights. We plan on returning to the South Tahoe area with our family and I look forward to booking another tour with Stephanie!

This tour was fantastic! Our guide was Jim, and he took us to a nice mix of historical, nature, and even a “secret” place. Along the way, he filled us in with history and relevant facts. He was also super helpful and patient in helping me with camera settings and tips. The small-group size (there were four of us) was an added bonus. This tour is worth every bit of the price.

I don’t even know where to begin with this tour. It was outstanding from beginning to end. Doesn’t matter if you are a photographer or hobbyist or just want a couple I phone pics in nice places. The tour was a mix of history, geology, scenic beauty and some photography teaching and tips on either your phones or a DSLR. Jim took several professional photos in the spots and sends them back to you edited. The knowledge of the history and geology of the area was impressive. Jim took us to some less traveled and secret spots with amazing vistas. This tour has something for everyone and Jim was absolutely delightful.

This was the perfect tour for us. We had one day to see Lake Tahoe and Jim took us to the most beautiful places. He not only advised us on taking our own photos but as a professional photographer, he took photos of us and emailed them to us after the tour.

The tour, with Jim as guide, was as good as I expected. No, it was even better than that! Jim was quite personable and so willing to share his vast knowledge of the Lake Tahoe area. He took us to out-of-the-way places (places I wouldn't have found on my own) for amazing photo ops. He took photos with his own camera and shared them; they came out great. I would absolutely recommend this tour if you're looking for photo ops on the west side of the Lake, or if you're interested in the history of the region.

As longtime residents of Southern California, this was our first trip to Lake Tahoe. Viator reviews led us to this tour and we'd like to add our five star + rating. Dave was our photography instructor, host and guide and we could not have asked for more. He drove us to outstanding vistas (along with some locals secret spots) giving clear and memorable instructions on how to improve our picture taking.
