Booked the trip within one month of travelling to Tenerife. Arranged and confirmed convenient pickup location by speaking with customer service. On the day everything went smoothly according to itinerary. Tour guide was efficient and friendly informing travellers in several different languages as necessary. Locations visited were spectacular and interesting. Lunch was provided at a Gomerian restaurant located at the edge of a steep cliff that could be viewed from a glass structure reaching out over the cliff edge! Time was allowed at the end of the island tour to explore San Sebastian prior to boarding the hydrofoil for a quick return trip to a return coach journey to our pickup point. A wonderfully interesting and memorable trip!
Very enjoyable day out. Lots of interesting information given. Fascinating place. Knowing the cost of a ferry crossing we weren't expecting much for the lunch but it was very good and filling, wine and water included. Restaurant was rather hot. Added attraction of the.glass floor view point - too scarry for me! The guide is a.little tricky to understand at times and has his own interesting version of English words. I could always tell when he was speaking English. But understood enough to follow instructions and learn a bit about what we were seeing. Very pleasant and helpful man too.
The trip is very nice. The guide is very knowledgeable but keeps a constant stream of lecturing in four languages which is both overwhelming and difficult to follow at times.
Sights are beautiful and interesting. We had a car race that blocked the road and delayed us for an an hour you would expect that the your would know these kinds of things.
Previous reviews were not enthusiastic about the guide. That had made me wary, but actually the guide was great! I loved the opportunity to hear and practice two languages I'm trying to learn such as German and French. I also appreciated his wanting me to feel included by saying a few things in Italian, even though I assured him I'm perfectly fine with a tour in English (I actually prefer English to Italian!). I think the effort the guide went to should be appreciated!
The food itself was nothing exceptional but the silbo demonstration was interesting.
The real disappointment for me was only spending 10 minutes in the Garajonay National Park. I had been told by the tour company that it would be 45 minutes :-( I mainly booked this tour as getting to the park by public transport seems near impossible and I hoped to see more of the forest. Rain and cloud forests are my favourite ones, having loved those in New Zealand.
Anyway, it was a great introduction to La Gomera and I'm considering coming back for a longer visit.
Picked up close by and boarded ferry to La Gomera. Loaded on the coach with a guide who spoke 4 languages which made it quite boring when he wasn't speaking your language. We also found his english hard to understand. We felt that we also would have preferred at least another hour in San Sebastian. The lunch was better than we expected. We had a coffee break followed with a short ride and lunch a half an hour later which we felt to be a little stupid.
The tour itself was 5 stars but the guide on this particular day was horrible. He was rambling on and on in three languages and no one could understand a word he was sayingeven the Spanish people were complaining. He sort of ruined the whistling demonstration by getting in the way and loudly talking in his annoying voice
Very interesting tour! Well planned, and exciting....glad we did it!
This tour was amazing!
Overall the trip was good. Views are unique and fascinating. The drawback was the guide. He was very difficult to understand. He never even asked once if we had any questions. Also, the pickup taking us to the central meeting point took 25 minutes but the way home took 75 minutes!
Really a stand out tour. Boat trip from Tenerife, then a bus around La Gomera.
Island has great diversity - go from barren waterfront land to lush mountains.
Very scenic and well organized.
We were supposed to take this trip on Monday - English guide. However this was brought forward by two hours so we were offered - and took - the option to delay it for 24 hours.
The trip itself was very interesting and the guide was amazingly informative - however given he was giving the information in four languages - yes four languages English, German, French and Dutch - there wasn't a moment's peace!!
The included lunch was OK. There were regular stops.
All in all, the 4 star rating says it all.
Definitely a must see if you have a spare day while in Tenerife. The sights are really stunning, an unearthly beauty! The tour may seem to be overloaded and tiresome a lot of bus riding and maybe too little walking, but this is the only way to see as much unforgettable scenery as La Gomera can offer with its multiple view points so spectacular that you will never forget. Be sure to choose a sunny day for this trip, otherwise there is a risk to miss most of the scenery due to the clouds .Also, the boat trip may cause dizziness if the sea is a bit rough... The guide was eager to share his vast knowledge, and the lunch was nothing great, but OK. The whistling language show was such a fun! Overall, this tour is highly recommended, definitely worth the money.
Excursion was too long and tiresome .
Could have been compacted by at least two hours.
Guide was obviously knowledgeable but everything was said in three languages and the talk was incessant.
The included lunch was bland .
This is a great tour, La Gomera is a stunning island and on the tour you get the chance to stop in many places and enjoy the scenery. Although a bit rushed but this is normal because you get to see a lot. The lunch was good and the guide had knowledge about the islnd and he was very informative.
Outstanding day trip. This was the highlight of my journey and will never be forgotten. Just to experience the whistlers, taste local beverages and see the beautiful sights were definitely worth the trip. I did not enjoy lunch as a whole but that's okay too.
