A fantastic day out and a must do if you Do not have a lot of time to spend in Kyoto. The tour covers all main sights and our guide Hiromi was great, very knowledgeable and kept the tour on track all day. I would really recommend taking the lunch option, very good food.
Japan Panaromic Tours is great. Our tour guide Lanny is the best! Amazing Temple, shrine, bamboo forest and good for shopping souvenirs. I love Kyoto. Can't wait to go back and see more amazing places.
Our tour guide in the person of Ms. Lanny is very entertaining. She is very informative despite the fact that she came from Indonesia. She speaks eloquently.
In one day, visited all the Temples and Shrines. Highly recommended.
Best use of your time.
Lanny San was excellent, explaining all the quirky things about the places which we visited, Japanesse and Kyoto’s culture and customaries, another places and attractions in Kyoto.
We are glad to take this tour as our first day in Kyoto so we have few tips to follow through for today.
An awesome tour made even more amazing by our tour guide Shasha of Japan Panoramic Tour. All mentioned attractions in the package visited. No wasted time. Shasha was excellent!
The shrines and temples of Kyoto are some of the most beautiful I've seen. The tour bus was comfortable and filled with many like minded travelers. The drawback was that the tour guide did not give the rich history of the sites we were visiting.
This tour is fast paced and amazing. It gives you a taste of the cultural Japan and offers the opportunity to see many iconic Kyoto spots in 1 day.
Tour guide kept us on time. A lot of walking and stair climbing. If you keep track of “steps” we logged in over 21,000 or about 16 km.
Had enough time at most of the temples/shrines. Lunch was good- hot bowl. My favorite site was the Golden Temple.
This Japan Panoramic Tours day trip was all you can possibly expect. The guide was highly professional and you got reasonable time at the four main sites visited. In truth I am no fan of such organized tours, but for Kyoto, where sites are scattered around a big city, this a the best possible option. The guide (a naturalized Tunesian) was super professional. Highest marks indeed. The only problem - admitted by the guide – was, at all the sites visited, the absolutely enormous number of tourists, most of which seemed to have no idea why they were there except for wanting to take "selfies". But that is nothing you can blame JPT or the guide for. I am glad I took this tour. There is no way you could have "covered Kyoto like that" in a single day on your own!
The tour guide was very good. The lunch was great. We were able to see a number of temples/shrines without worrying how to get to them.
The tour started a bit late due to traffic from Osaka to Kyoto, but we managed to catch up and visited all the places on offer and I didn't find each visit to be either too short or too long. Lunch was nice and Lanny, the tour guide, is excellent and she's got a great rapport with everyone. I managed to take photos of all the sites with the exception at The Inari gates. It was a bit of a let down because there's just too many people from both direction and it's not the tour's fault at all. Thumbs up guys
This tour was great. Seeing the Torii gates and bamboos was wonderful. Our guide, Jun, is superb. He went out of the way to help us and explain the little nuances of Japanese culture. Highly recommended!!
This was a fun tour and I felt I saw the high points of Kyoto, for sure. Sami, our guide, was friendly and knowledgeable and gave good tips on where to get good photos, etc. On any tour there are going to be places you wish you'd had more time, but that's the trade-off with getting to see so many things. Also, just fwiw, as a solo traveler I felt very comfortable on the tour.
Do be aware that 80° F in Kyoto is HOT. There are a lot of un-shaded parts of the tour and I did wish I had brought a hat.
I enjoyed every minute of my day. Perfect timing to experience so much in one day. George our guide was very knowledgeable.and the Japanese lunch was yummy.
Main attractions tick.
Make sure you bring enough water and go to toilets at attractions - there’s no stopping for anyone.
We really enjoyed the tour!! Its was kinda a hot rain weather, lots of walking and good places we went
The tour was jam packed and full to the brim with amazing temples and shrines. Our guide was June and he was fun and jnowledgeable about all things old and new about Japanese culture. I would recommend this rour to anyone who wants to see to see the world heritage sites in one day although don't go in the summer as it was dreadfully hot and by the end of the day we were shattered and exhausted...the aircon on the bus was a God send!!!
Great itinerary , exact sites I had been wanting to visit in Kyoto . It probably is the best itinerary to see
We can thank yurika enough, we had the best time, although is long day and a lot of walking we got to see so much and learn a lot from our warm and friendly guide yurika, thanks 🙏 and highly recommended this tour
Very interesting. Our guide was very knowledgeable. Lots of information. May is the perfect time to visit
Fantastic tour. Covers so many wonderful things in kyoto. Our guide was funny and knowledgeable. Lunch was delicious. Well organised.
Eureka was our tour guide and she showed us her favorite spots to visit in Kyoto! We had such a great time!
Our first day in Kyoto was such a disappointment on our own as we were a bit disoriented, there were huge crowds and we got to see nothing memorable. This tour the next day salvaged it all. A lot of walking to get to the individual sites, but so worth it. Would recommend to anyone with not much time to spend in this magical place
Nice tour on April, we got on the planned schedule, tour guides very good Joshi and Haruna, good english and very knowledgeable, very attentive and passionate about this job, caring about r the tourists, and make a good, interesting and funny environment.
Thank u guys, see u next time
Great way to see some of the prime sites in Kyoto! And our guide Lanny was both well spoken and funny. Thank you!
This tour is just a money spinner for the tour company . You spend all day on the bus and not enough time at any sight . We got ten minutes at the Bamboo Forest and over an hour for lunch . The main temple we visited was covered in scaffolding and will be for up to 2 years . Tour guide was from Hong Kong and couldn’t answer loads of questions about local customs etc . A lot of people were angry on the bus as we could have seen more if we did it ourselves
Be sure to follow the meeting point instructions and definitely choose the lunch option. It was delicious and all ready for us by the time we arrived. The sights selected are the main highlights of Kyoto. I felt the time at the Fushimi Inari shrine was short, but if you give yourself an extra day or two to explore further, this trip is worth it. The guide was informative but not overwhelming with information.
The transportation is conenvient. The sites selected are incredible. However, would appreciate the tour more if there was more an explanation, as well as historical and cultural context provided. Otherwise, it is more of a method of transportation around far flung sites. It would also be more enjoyable if more time was provided for perusing the various food and gift stalls around the sites that seem very appealing, but don’t quiet have enough time for. I understand that the schedule is tight, but maybe the tour can be reconfigured to accommodate that. The bus was very comfortable.
This is an ideal tour if you have limited time. It ticks the boxes of the famous temples plus a couple more hidden ones which is excellent. Sami, our tour guide was very well organised and planned our day beautifully. My only minor criticism is that the lunch was of a poor standard. Thank you for this tour!
