Really enjoyable tour with lots of interesting information given by our guide. Sites visited were a good taster of Krakow .

When Emil started the tour by saying that the tour would include walking and a talkative guide (walking + talkative = Walkative), I knew I had booked a great tour! There’s nothing worse than a tour guide who skimps on the commentary and appears bored. That was not the case here. Emil’s commentary was engaging and this experience gave my friend and I a ton of background on Krakow. I thoroughly enjoyed this walking tour and recommend it without hesitation.

Our guide was Maciek and he was brilliant, very knowledgeable and also funny. We enjoyed our tour, learned bit of Polish history of old town and seen some great places. Highly recommended.

What better way to start your visit to a new city than a walking tour. Our guide Lucy is a local, speaks excellent English, is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about her home city. Not only did we learn about the city and it's history but also the incredible history of Poland itself. Our only regret was not being able to do the tour in the Jewish quarte as well. Not enough time!

There is nothing better than having a guided tour of a city so that you get a great commentary on the history and sights and this did not disappoint. This tour was a perfect combination of interesting facts and historical information. Our guide Damian was very knowledgable and spoke excellent English.

Very impressed with this Walkactive tour and our guide on the day was Lucy. She was very knowledgeable and her English was excellent. The tour is mainly on the flat with only a short elevated section to access the Castle. If you want to visit the interior of the castle or Cathedral, that can be done at your own expense. The tour is free, but basically this is your guides job, so an optional donation at the end allows them to continue offering this service. You can book you places on the different tour directly on the Walkactive website. If you like walking tours I would highly recommend this one.

Great introduction to Krakow. Jack was a great tour leader, very informative about Krakow and about Polish history and kept us moving all the way from the Barbican at one end to the castle at the other. It was a very enjoyable experience.

Really great guide (Christopher) who made the walk an enjoyable experience, despite the fact it was cold and rained for a while two and a half hours!! He was really knowledgeable and had fantastic English. Very reasonable price, like the idea of paying a small amount up front and tipping what you feel is appropriate. We made us of the QR code that showed on Google maps places that are recommended, but so many to choose from!

What a morning! Learnt a bucketload about Krakow Old Town. Tour guide & actual tour were fantastic. I highly recommend for anyone and at any age. There is a deep history to this place…some even underground. Go see for yourself!

Well, I am glad I booked this tour. We arrived on a lovely morning in March, and we were introduced to Magda. She is a very knowledgeable guide and was quite funny with some of the stories she told us about the old town with a few red herrings thrown in to catch us and then pointing them out which made it very enjoyable. The tour took us to places we had passed and had not given a second glance and were very surprised when we were brought to them as a few were a stone’s throw from our hotel. Overall, we are so glad we went as we learnt a lot about the ancient and modern history of Krakow's old town, the surrounding area, and the History of the Country. Yes, Magda, you do like maps LOL. Thank you for such an enjoyable tour it was a pleasure meeting you and learning all about the city the people and Poland.

Informative and entertaining tour about the old town of Kraków. Our guide Krisztof was very fun and even taught us a thing or two about the Polish language in addition to the history and development of the city over a thousand years from the origins at Wawel castle to the modern efforts of preservation of this unique medieval European old town.

Emil (our guide) was fantastic, impressing the entire tour group with the vast knowledge he had of the history of Krakow and Poland. The walk lasted 2.5 hours, not at all physically difficult as there were quite a few stops where he would engage us with some more info. Would highly recommend for anyone arriving into Krakow as its a perfect way to be introduced to the city. Thanks Emil
