Koh Samui: Round-the-Island Sightseeing Tour
Overview
The Koh Samui island tour consists of a round trip around the island. It includes sightseeing of the Kuan Im and the Big Buddha temple and viewpoints around the island. You can go sightseeing at Grandfather and Grandmother rock, the mummified monk and visit Nathon town. Finally there is also a plunge in the cool water beneath the Namuang Waterfall.

Stop At: Big Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Yai), Bophut Thailand
Visit the Big Biddha up the hill in the north east of the island. You can walk up the stairs to take a closer look and enjoy the view on the bay of Bangrak.

Stop At: Na Muang Waterfall, Na Mueang, 84140 Thailand
Feeling like a cooldown? If you want you can jump into the water below the Namuang waterfall. Please be sure to bring swimming suit and towel if you wish to do so.

Stop At: Hin Ta & Hin Yai Rocks, 126/92 Moo 3 Thailand
The grandmother and grandfather rocks are 2 iconic sites on Koh Samui. Have a look at strange rock formations and enjoy the beach in Lamai where they are located.

Stop At: Wat Khunaram (Mummified Monk), Thailand
The mummified monk is located in the south of Koh Samui. The monk was mummified in 1973 and has been in a temple called Wat Khunaram.

Wat Plai Laem is one of the most famous sites in Koh Samui. You can find numerous temples and statues here as well as feeding the fish in the pond that surrounds them.

If you want a quick visit to the top sites, this would be an okay tour for you. However, it's a budget tour and not much time is spent at each place. There is no commentary or explanation about the history or meaning of the places that we visited. While this tour is billed as English-speaking, our tour guide's English was not great, and his accent was so heavy I couldn't understand most of what he said. And while it was not on the itinerary for this tour beware, you will stop at an overgrown, vacant field at which there is a monkey handler and a single chained monkey. You will have the opportunity to have this monkey sit on you for a photo op. The handler dragged the monkey by the chain to a tree to get him to perform, climbing the tree and cutting coconuts and dropping them to the ground. I object to forced animal entertainment and would not have gone on this tour had this been listed as a stop on the itinerary. Otherwise, the tour was okay for the price.We took the island tour and I think they are best in this business. They also informed me about the storm Pabuk.
