My favorite tour and a must if you like to get off the beaten path. This area opened up to tourists just recently as landmines have been cleared. Though much smaller, Beng Mealea is rivaling the "Tomb Raider" temple. 1.5 hr drive through the country side was so interesting. Saw funeral procession and tasted delicious cashew apples. Our guide Cherry Cambodge was a delight. Besides his excellent English skill, he was not only extremely knowledgeable about Khmer history but also Cambodia today. I learned so much. Unexpectedly positive tour by Narath. First off, only 3 people booked the tour so it turned out to be more of a private tour which was great. We were on time and early on. Second, Narath was very informative about Cambodia and the history of the temples. He even knew about Thai history! Third, it was a very comfortable trip. Cold water and towels were provided. Narath offered to take many photos. The van was very roomy and spacious. I definitely enjoyed my time. Narath also bought some local snacks for us. Thank you! Overall very good and will recommend to anyone! Its a great tour with tremendous scenery. My professional tour guide, sothea yon, who explained the history of cambodia to me in detail and i do enjoy the tour very much.
