Knossos Palace is the biggest Minoan Palace of Crete. The archaeological museum is one of the most significant museums in Greece and its collections come mostly from central and eastern Crete and cover a span of 5.500 years. You will also have the chance to visit Koules Fortress that dominates the entrance to the Venetian Harbour of Heraklion. The Venetians called it "Sea Fortress", but today it is known by its Turkish name, Koules.

Not worth the money. The original driver did not turn up, but handed over to another driver who did not speak much English. He was a lovely man but not a guide. The listing is very clear that this is just a taxi service and there is no guiding, but what isn’t mentioned is that Knossos Palace is about 15 minutes out of Heraklion by taxi, not out in the countryside as I supposed. So I could’ve just got my own taxi there and back to the museum and walked to the fortress for a lot less money.The vehicle was on time, the driver was courteous, he waited for us at the end of our visit to Knossos
