Cliff, your guide, unrolls a geological, political and historical tapestry of information on the town and the country, all from the stern of his brightly-painted boat as you cruise serenely on the river, away from the crowds. Great way to get a local's perspective of this beautiful part of Ireland!Lovely trip on the river with Cliff as our guide. He was very nice and told many stories about the history of Kilkenny. The very knowledgable tour guide from Portugal was friendly and professional and knew so much about Ireland and in particular Kilkenny. This was worth the €15.

We had been meaning to do this trip for a long time now and so glad we ticked this box today. Highly recommend to all ages. Combination of tranquility, educational and very enjoyable. Clifford was top class, a man that takes great pleasure and pride in his job. Very informative about the history of Kilkenny and also the wildlife right in front of us. Definitely returning when back next year for another trip. Highly recommend.
