I had a great time in Tanzania with Habari Adventure (A local company recommended to us by a friend).We decided to do it this March because of the tight travel restrictions we had last year. Our guide Michael was awesome. In Fact the best guide I've ever had. He was friendly, patient, knowledgeable, experienced and lots of fun. Transport and accomodation was good.The provided meals were excellent thanks to our cook Remmy. I would recommend this company to anyone considering visiting Tanzania for a hike.

I have many good things to say about Habari Adventure, a local company in Moshi, Tanzania. We went on their 7-day Machame trip, and it was fantastic. Their guides are excellent. They know a lot, are friendly, and make sure you're safe. Right from the beginning, they worked hard to earn our trust. They were honest and open, which made us feel confident in their services. The Machame route is famous for its beautiful scenery, and it didn't disappoint, we even see glaciers on the summit day. The daily plans for this route are similar among different tour companies, so your guides and crew make the biggest difference to your experience. They also do medical checks and carry oxygen cylinders. Our main guide, Oscar is amazing and carries a variety of medications. He can take care of anything that comes your way. The guides, chef, and porters are all wonderful local people. They sing to cheer you up and make you feel like part of their family. They're all amazing. And the food! It's delicious and there's plenty of it. My advice is to eat a lot – it really helps! Habari Adventure has a lot of experience, and they've planned everything carefully. This means you can focus on climbing and not worry about anything. I highly recommend Habari Adventure team to anyone planning a trip to Tanzania. They take good care of their team and make sure everything is perfect for you. Caroline will organize every part of your trip with great attention to detail and a friendly smile.

My daddy and I just went on a 7 day trek with Habari Adventure and it was one of the best choices we’ve ever done in our lives. There are few things we were looking for and Habari Adventure really met all of them and exceeded our expectations. Having all the things you need on the mountain is extremely important and we were worried about the fact that we didn’t want to buy everything but Habari Adventure offered a rental option for very reasonable prices and we were shocked when they took us to their storage place. They have everything and plenty of different choices. We had knowledgeable guides; we were impressed by Habari Adventure guides. They were both incredibly helpful and funny. They were constantly joking and helping us from the difficult of the trek, it seemed like they knew every inch of the Machame route. The team was absolutely incredible. They were so friendly and helpful, they did some singing to us and I was obsessed with the song they sang for us “Jambo Bwana” Habari Adventure treats their team very well and this is the reason we choose Habari Adventure. The food was delicious and we ate better on the mountain. Our chef was creative and talented in making delicious meals. What made Habari Adventure amazing was how much their team cared. I would have turned down on summit night if it wasn’t this team taking my bags and encouraging me to keep going. We booked 7 days Machame route with Habari Adventure. It was a truly amazing experience from start to finish. When we started planning our trip to Kilimanjaro our main concern was choosing the best company to assist us to get to the summit safe and in organized way. There were so many options, we are happy to choose this company. Hiking Kilimanjaro was absolutely incredible. We had amazing guides; we were blown away by their level of professionalism. Any help that was needed was recognized even before we ask. Everyone we met was so nice and helpful. This wonderful team made us feels so safe and comfortable. Beautiful meals prepared and cooked for us by the time we got to the next camp ensuring we were fuelled for the next walk. I can’t think of bad thing about this team they were fantastic. Outstanding experience of climbing Kilimanjaro with Habari Adventure. The team was excellent, the philosophy of supporting us and guiding us with the right spirit. Every day was a great surprise with an amazing nature. We were very well prepared to climb the last part to UHURU point. The Habari team is patient and with excellent advices.

We had the best time. We really enjoyed our adventure with Habari. The whole Crew was incredible and always funny and comforting. Especially Mudy one of our guides was awesome. What can I say other than Stan and his team made our dream possible! Myself and my dad had spent 10yrs dreaming of the summit and we made it on Dec 9th at 5:45am. The search process can seem daunting to find the right trek company at the right price so hopefully my review can help you here, please do not hesitate to book with Habari Adventure! Stan and Caroline were on hand from the moment we made contact to answer all our questions and provide much needed guidance throughout. His team that led us to the top (with head guide Abdi and Moodi and 12 porters) were the best companions and team we could have asked for. They leave no stone unturned, being collected at the airport on time (even though our flight was delayed by 12hrs coming in) and returned on time, the gear we needed to rent was there for us when we arrived, the hotel (BruBru Lodge) is spectacular and definitely is 4 star and a welcome rest after such a long hike. The food we were provided with on the mountain, well…all I can say is we re-named the chef (whose real name was Jimmy Jimmy) to ‘The Magician!’ as we were eating freshly prepared KFC chicken with crispy chips and coleslaw at 4000m!!! Safe to say we never lost our appetites. Also I must mention the level of care and safety that went into maintaining our health on the mountain with regular health check ins every evening and advise throughout the treks to even our guides carrying our daybag on summit night when the going gets tough. To be honest I could keep going on and on - but I won’t! I hope this helps and to Habari we will see you soon as we need to return to do Mount Meru and a Safari.

We did the 7-day Machame Route to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro with Habari in October and were more than satisfied all round. It starts with the organized pick-up from the airport, including refreshments and a briefing for the next few days. Our two guides, Michael and Oscar, accompanied us well throughout the 7 days and, despite the snow and bitter cold, kept us motivated to reach the summit, especially on the night of the summit. Above all, we liked the fact that they adapted to our speed. Our cook consistently provided us with super tasty, varied and sufficient food - you never go hungry here. The porters also did a great job and always had a nice smile on their faces. The camping equipment should also be highlighted: our tent had an awning with a table and chairs so that we could always enjoy our meal and afternoon tea in the dry. The private portable toilet also offered extra comfort. In summary, we were super happy with our 7-day tour and couldn't have imagined a better team than the Habari team. Habari never loses. Habari Adventure is a great local company from Moshi, with huge experience in Kilimanjaro hiking. From the first email, Stan was very responsive and helpful. All arrangements went smoothly and once we arrived at the venue, everything was in order. We had a wonderful team consisting of experienced guides, a wonderful cook (the food was amazing!), friendly waiters and helpful porters. We always had a great location in camps! The entire team worked hard for our success, and without them this experience would certainly have been poorer. It is also worth noting, that the company runs a nonprofit foundation, that supports children from poor families in the region. Highly recommend Habari!

We booked our Kilimanjaro trip with Habari Adventure. It's a local company based in Moshi. From our very first e-mail contact, everything went smoothly and quickly. We chose the Machame route 7 days. From the moment we were picked up at the airport to the summit of Uhuru Peak, we were pampered by the Habari team! The food, the equipment, the professionalism of the guides and the enthusiasm of the whole crew/porters team: everything was perfect! We felt totally safe as we made our way to the top of Africa. Even when I felt a bit ill (cough), the guides were close by to help me and make sure I was okay at all times. We also did a safari with Habari Adventure after the climb (2 days) and the guide was really great! He had an immense knowledge of the animals and the history of Africa. The 4x4 car was very comfortable too. I can't recommend Habari Adventure enough ! If you are looking for a tour company to climb Mt Kilimandjaro in complete safety and with the best guides, do not hesitate to contact Habari Adventure !

Climbing Kilimanjaro with Habari adventure and their incredible guides and porters was one of the best experiences of my life, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The wonderful experience began when I booked, and the care and attention shown by Caroline was on point, they made everything very easy and gave me great confidence. I'm glad I chose the 7 day Lemosho route as I had issues with altitude previously and this route gives you a greater chance of acclimatizing before you attempt the summit. The team of porters and guides were fantastic, as were my fellow guests, and even just thinking about them now brings a tear to my eye, what an incredible adventure it was! You won't regret booking with Habari adventure, they are an upstanding company that treat their workers really well. I will definitely recommend Habari adventure to anyone looking for the best and an incredible adventure.

Unexpectedly solo female after what may have been a cancellation from the other group I was supposed to travel with. Initially I was scared but by the end of the experience, this was the best thing that happened! Unbelievably caring and professional crew who I never thought I would miss this much at the end! (Evance, Elyasah, Abu, Remy, Sely, and Omboi). I got altitude sickness on summit night but with the team at Habari I managed to keep my spirit and mental game high and I made it to the summit! I am so grateful for them. I would highly recommend their services and the operation is seamless from supply to food to cleanliness, and very professional. It’s great to support a local business and I cannot recommend them enough.

I did 7days Machame Route trek with Habari Adventure. This was an amazing experience and Habari Adventure did a great job! Caroline was very helpful in answering all of my questions during the booking process. Upon arriving at JRO airport Joe was there to pick me up as planned. My lodging in Moshi which included in the trek was wonderful! Evance and Abdi who were my guides met me at lodge the day prior to the trek and went over everything I should expect. They checked my gear and answered all of my questions. Evance and Abdi put together a trip of a lifetime they went way beyond what I actually required. As well as the cook Jimmy make sure my stomach be full by three hot meals every day and porters were all amazing! They all kept the spirits high through the entire trip. We had the best time of our lives with Habari Adventure when climbing Kilimanjaro through the 7 day Lemosho route. It surpassed all of our expectations. We were very happy to have gone with Habari and felt we did an excellent decision (which was difficult given the number of companies providing these services). We were first drawn to Habari based on the excellent reviews already existing online. In addition, the price was much more competitive compared to other providers, after a careful and detailed research through the more 30+ providers. The value for money was incredibly high and if we were to do it again we would gladly do it with Habari. Here are some distinctive points that I think make Habari a great company to go with: - Stan, the owner of the company, answered all of our questions before the trip and was immensely flexible to accommodate our plans (as we also had a Safari with Habari and then we would go to Zanzibar). We were able to plan everything prior to arrival, which helped us feel safer, more comfortable and confident. We were very well received at the airpot by Stan. Communication prior to the trip was 5/5. - Leon and Abdi, our guides, informed as well of the plans which would take place over the following days. They were gentle, kind, patient, open, supportive and incredibly nice. Over the course of the next 7 days we became friends and we were happy to learn more about their culture, which made the experience much more enjoyable. Throughout the complete climb they were the best guides one could ask for, specially on summit push, which was incredibly challenging. By that time you will be happy to have someone you know you can trust your life. - The rest of the team, including porters and cook, were also very nice. Camp was set straightforwardly at arrival and the food was divine, both in terms of variety and quantity, and served in our tents. Hot water was always provided for washing in the morning and at arrival to camp. - We stayed at a nice hotel and on arrival even had our own private bungalow, which was unexpected! Many thanks to the Habari team (and family) for their great efforts they continuously put to make the most enjoyable experience to every of their clients. I am confident that if you choose Habari you will will be happy to have made such decision by the end. It was not easy to choose a tour provider for our Kilimanjaro ascent, because the entire provider we found seemed to have a 5 star rating on Google & other platforms. Because Habari Adventure had a really good media presence in various channels Instagram, Facebook, Trip Advisor, Website etc. they convinced us too book them and we had a really fair price for our 7-days Machame route. We choose the medium price, but there is a more comfortable option as well. Before we came to Tanzania we wanted to make a prepayment for the tour, but neither WISE nor Western Union worked out. This felt a little suspicious to me, but it turned out that all is fine. We could also pay the tour in the Habari Adventure headquarter when we arrived in Moshi. The hotel "Panama Garden Resort ", which isn’t a little bit outside of the city center turned to be quite nice with a rooftop that enables a beautiful view on the Uhuru Peak. The staff was also really friendly and the rooms are totally okay. In our first days before the route started, we had time to arrive in Tanzania, got briefed by our guides Emma and Evance about the next 7 days and rent additional gear. I recommend starting the climb on the next day, to have time arrive and adapt well and without stress. The tour itself went accordingly to plan and we had a really good support from the whole crew. All the tents sleeping & dinning we're in place when we arrived at the camps, the food was varied, our waiter brought us hot tea to our tent every morning and our guides played a crucial role in our summit success story. They briefed us every evening for the next days, advised us what to wear, prepared us mentally for all the challenges and were even doctors. Also we learned a lot from them about the people, the culture and the country Tanzania itself. Our guides spoke fluent English, some Porters spoke okay english and some just a few words, but there was always a way to communicate. If you are thinking of hiking Kilimanjaro then I recommend Habari Adventure with my whole heart!! From my initial email to the company, Stan was friendly, helpful and prompts with all his responses! On the actual hike there were 3 of us and we had a team of 16 people supporting us. I cannot possibly emphasize how welcoming the entire teams were. We had 3 beautifully prepared meals by Remi, and served by Eugen every day. We were also never short of hot water for tea/coffee/hot chocolate and accompanying snacks! Eugen would wake us every morning on the hike and bring coffee and hot washing water to our tents. Every day on our arrival at camp we would be greeted with a beautifully set up site, then Allen would help clean off the dust from the day before showing us to our tents. Furthermore when booking onto an open hike a private loo is included within the total price which felt like a total luxury! Every single porter in our team was generous, kind, gentle and welcoming in a way that I have never experienced before. On summit night, having not struggled before, I started to struggle, Leon and Michael were absolutely unwavering in their kindness and support of my successful trip to the summit - carrying my stuff and Leon even held my hand for a small difficult section. Another big shout out to Muddy on summit night who somehow was able to read my mind at all times and helped me with literally everything - from fixing my head torch, helping me sort my various layers, making sure I had eaten and drank enough, he took my phone to ensure I would have some photos at the top and did so always with a smile - I never once felt a burden. After summiting, I was told to descend quickly with Leon who when we had descended far enough provided me with snacks and drinks and put me totally at ease. What I cannot emphasize enough from all the help I received was the nature with which it was given. The teams were ever smiling, kind, gentle and just completely wonderful. If you are considering hiking Kilimanjaro I cannot recommend it enough, especially when done with Habari Adventure. Early January 2023, I traveled to Tanzania with my sister to fulfill a lifelong dream of climbing Mt Kilimanjaro. After much research, we went with Habari Adventure and were so glad that we did. Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro we met their representative (Michael) who picked us and transferred us to Panama Hotel in Moshi. Later in the evening we met with our guides who briefed us on our upcoming trek, and then went to our rooms to check our equipment to make sure that we were properly prepared. Once the trek started, we were given a daily medical check to monitor our vital signs to ensure that we could continue each day without health issues. Habari guides are all medically trained and brought along oxygen, glucose, a stretcher and a portable hyperbaric chamber on the climb. The cook was extraordinary, every meal was warm, delicious and nutritious, and consisted of several courses to satisfy our high altitude nutritional needs. Including my brother and myself, there were 9 people in our group, and we all made it to Uhuru Peak on Habari adventure 7 day Machame route to the top. Climbing Kilimanjaro is a life-changing experience, and there is no doubt in my mind that Habari adventure expertise and care are what got us to the top. Stan is quite helpful, reachable anytime on whats app eager to answer your questions and adjust the schedule if needed, well in advance before arriving in Tanzania and. Our guide Emanuel pretty well informed about the potential difficulties that you may face in the mountain and willing to assist when needed. I absolutely recommend climbing Kilimanjaro with Habari adventure. It was an amazing experience and both the team on and off the mountain did everything to make it happen. To be honest, Habari adventure as a local company is super flexible in many regards. We changed start date three times due to our holiday plans which wasn’t a problem. Furthermore, I was able to pay the deposit with Visa cad when my credit card didn’t work. Also nice was that for our airport transfer from and back to the US they picked us up from a different place. The crew on the mountain was fantastic. Our guide Ima, the assistant guide Leon and all the other crew members did everything to support us and make our trip highly enjoyable. (Thanks to our best chef Priva for the great food!) There was truly nothing to complain about. I highly recommend this particular crew to anyone.
