Great company! The best time I have had in Ketchikan. In a few hours I was able to see whales, seals and plenty of starfish. The guides are really friendly and know a lot about the local environment and history. Really fun experience!

Man, what a fantastic tour. Devon was great to accommodate my family and I for a last minute booking and Matt, who was our guide, was so knowledgeable. So much marine life to see and learn about. It was an experience of a life time. I am ready to do it again. Oh and a shout out to Carston who was in training. He was an absolute delight.

Absolutely amazing! Was during the off season but the owner was very kind to accommodate us for a kayaking tour with our guide Matt. He was so informative and friendly, saw so much sea life, had a trainy with us named Carston who was super friendly and was so willing to learn. Thank you to all of you and Devon for the tour, made the whole trip and want to go again!

Matt and Devon were extremely professional and knowledgeable when it came to the kayaking process, the local wildlife, and the history of the area. They were accommodating and friendly and made the experience absolutely worthwhile. Even going in spring with Ketchikan weather being unpredictable, they were great guides and the coffee/hot chocolate/hot cider at the end of our trip was well-received! Would absolutely go back in the future!

The best tour we have made in Alaska The weather was pretty frizzy but that worth it Kayaking close to a whale and seal is something you can’t forget!

Matt took us on the kayak eco tour! He was wonderful and we had the absolute best time. We were able to see eagles, seals, lots of sea creatures, and even saw whales several times. The pace of the tour is great and Matt pointed out and taught us a lot!

Sorry for the late review. Trip was absolutely amazing!!! I would do this again in a heartbeat. My scared cousin would not dream of doing this without me. Our lead Kayak (sorry can't remember his name) was looking for all the animals around. Even had a sea lion come so close to our Kayak! Wish I could post a picture 📸

Working in Ketchikan in the winter I sometimes see posts on facebook about Orcas in the area but I didn't know I had a chance to actually get out on the water this time of year and then a co worker told me to call Devon. We had such a great low tide kayak tour and it was amazing being the only boats out on the water for as far as I could see. Thanks so much for the wonderful winter tour!

Had such a great time on the water. It was so nice to find a company who would host me while visiting in the off season. Everything else is closed. I mean everything. Enjoyed paddling on a beautiful sunny day in February and they even had great waterproof gear to keep warm and dry while paddling.

I’m a Ketchikan local for most of my life, 40+ years. Last July, I had family come to visit and I really wanted them to have a great time. We scheduled a kayak tour. Our group was 4 ladies and my 6 yr old niece. We were in tandem kayaks in a group of about 8 kayaks and there were 2 guides. The area we were in was surrounded by small islands so the ocean was calm. The guides were excellent especially with my young niece who continuously asked questions. I wish I could remember their names to give them kudos for being so knowledgeable and answering questions. We saw so many eagles, seals and a curious sea lion. This was my third trip taking visiting family with Ketchikan Kayak Co and by far my favorite excursion to suggest to visitors. It was an adventure my niece will never forget.

So happy to find someone to take me kayaking even when there were no ships in town. Great local company!

Amazing, knowledgable guide made our trip! The crew at the Ketchikan Kayak Co. were so professional and the gear was top notch. Taking a kayak tour in October i was nervous we would be cold and wet or have to put uncomfortable gear, they have fantastic, new, waterproof bibs and jackets and even provided dry bags for our cameras and pogies to keep our hands warm. The sea lions, eagles and humpback whales all put on a show and we saw bald eagles in their nest. Our guide made the whole experience feel safe and informational and was so patient with all of our questions. The weather in town was so windy and rainy when we arrived, but it was so much better where they took us to kayak. We’re so glad we got in the van and got out of town with them! Best tour on our cruise!

We went on this tour September 29, 2023 and had a thoroughly grand time. Our driver and our guides were excellent and made the tour. We saw lots of different wildlife(sea otters, seals, mink, blue heron and salmon spawning) and were lucky with beautiful weather! Best tour we’ve done in a long time.

We had an absolutely spectacular time on this tour. We lucked out with gorgeous weather and calm waters. Our guide, Spencer was great and gave us a history of the area. We saw sea lions and harbour seals, paddled around a small island across from the marina before paddling over to the estuary where the salmon go to spawn. Would highly recommend!

Drivers were on time and properly social. Our guide, Karl (with a “K”) was fantastic. Nothing better than a guide who loves what he does. He was patient and gave us a good tutorial of the island and habitat. We even had a good snack after the excision too! Definitely recommend this tour group!

I thought I booked a kayak trip through the cruise. turned out it wasn't checked out. When that was realized, it was too late to book (at least 4 days in advance) Fortunately, I found this company which was cheaper and the guides were great! Saw bald eagles, sea lions, seals, starfish. It was actually calm and not raining! Had a blast kayaking around the little islands. They provide a suit to wear so you won't get wet.

This was a lot of fun and our guide was knowledgable and loved being out paddling with us. He even allowed us to touch and feel the starfish, there were 1000's .We were able to see eagles, seals, starfish and the salmon were jumping. It was my husband and I and 2 other ladies, so very small group. We saw humpback whale spouts and were able to paddle towards them and had the most exciting time!! We paddled out of Clover Pass, which had beautiful scenery of islands and especially Prince of Wales island. After the kayaking, we were given a delicious spread of food with salmon dip and snacks and water. The outfitter picked us up and delivered us back from very close to our ship, about a 20 min ride each way. A very enjoyable day, so happy we went with this company and picked kayaking for the day.

When we arrived, we were greeted by an energetic crew and outfitted with water gear if we needed. They provide dry bags…I suggest you use them!!! My phone is at the bottom of the cove because I didn’t put my phone back into the bag🤪 The tour guides were great. They educated about us about the wildlife, foliage and Alaska as we made our way through the water. Our group single handedly ruined the company’s “nobody had fallen in” streak. Both of our kayaks toppled into the water after a wild wind gust. The crew was fantastic!! Carl, Spencer, Jacob and Devon spring into action, and got us out of the frigid water quickly and safely. They even offered to buy us a dry sweatshirt next door. I would absolutely recommend this tour for anyone and would book again if ever in Ketchikan again. Once again, thanks guys for getting us out safely and quickly.

The crew: Spencer, Carl, Jacob and Devin were fantastic!!! They sprung into action and got all four of us out of the frigid waters quickly. They were very accommodating after and even offered to buy us some dry sweatshirts at the shop next door. I would definitely recommend this tour company and will book again I’m ever back in Ketchikan. This was the most fun we had on our Alaska trip even though we fell in!!! Once again, thanks guys for getting us safely back so quickly!!!❤️ I wish had more photos to upload….but my phone is at the bottom of the cove as I didn’t keep my phone in the dry bag🤪

My wife and I had an opportunity to spend a few hours out on the water with our guide Adam in pretty much perfect conditions. He was informative, engaged and very good company and our time was spent learning about the local natural habitats and animal wildlife. We had a great time and would happily recommend this tour to others looking to spend a few hours out in the water in an otherwise very relaxing environment.
