We started the tour in Boppard and it was a perfect length for the cruise. We didn't wait for the paddle boat but took one of the others and it was still a great boat. We enjoyed the scenery and the service on the boat. Would recommend this to anyone interested in seeing the castles along the Rhine.
We my husband, adult daughter, and I are so glad that we took this one-day trip. The price was right, and the food and drink on-board was good and reasonably priced as well. We opted not to disembark earlier, but I can see that being a good option for those who want a slightly shorter or more diverse day. We used the full day trip to catch up on some reading while enjoying the castles, towns, and vineyards and the stories behind them. A shorter 3-4 hour? trip would have been plenty if our main objective was sight-seeing.
It was a wonderful day of cruising past vineyards and castles, and beautiful cities. We were on the paddle boat and it was elegant. We ate a delicious lunch and met some very interesting people. We met people from all over the world. We were safe and saw some terrific views. We could have hopped on and off to another boat and toured in a city, but we would have lost the paddle boat then. It was so much fun. This is a wonderful one-day tour along a beautiful stretch of the Rhine. A must do!
Loved the rhine cruise. The weather was perfect and
we had an enjoyable day.

This is a great cruise to see all the castles and beautiful landscape along the Rhine River in 1 day. If you don't want to stay on the cruise to the end you can get off anywhere along the way and take the next boat going back to your original destination. I highly recommend this cruise.
Helpful advice given when ticket collected about getting off at the pretty town of Bacharach and then exploring the town and castle above whilst waiting for the ship to return as two return sailings available at that time. The ship used, the paddle ship Goethe, was very well provided for with good staff and the breakfast and drinks at a price you would expect
Easy to use, helpful audio commentary. Everyone should take this cruise.
Very relaxing. Beautiful cruise. All went well before and during the cruise. Price was definitely right. The views were amazing. We will definitely recommend this cruise o friends, and probably take it again.
Booking made easy. Trip excellent and staff very helpful and polite.
Had an absolutely fabulous day. The boat, staff, food etc was wonderful. The scenery floating along the Rhine was awesome. Can not recommend this trip highly enough. Everyone should plan to do this trip if they can
The cruise was all they promised. It was not clear that breakfast was available on the boat which would have avoided rushing thru breakfast in town.
Great day trip
Good trip with comfortable cruise ship.
I had a amazing time enjoying the scenery and all the castles along the river.
A must for those visiting Germany.
We cruised from Koblenz down to Cochem (the Moselle River) using the one day KD Rhine Pass. It was an excellent way to simply sit back and enjoy the river and views as towns, locks and great countryside all drifted by. We stayed overnight in Cochem, which is delightful, and then caught the train back to Koblenz to continue with our touring. It was very easy and convenient, the KD pass is not expensive, although I would recommend booking ahead, esp in busy times, and the Moselle is as interesting, if not even lovelier than the more famous Rhine
The trip we did was extremely good. We went as far as Bacharach. Left the paddle steamer for lunch. Pretty village, then returned on another boat. We did get a cup of tea in the bar but there were no other refreshments. Which was an opportunity missed with a captive audience Very good value.
It was the breathtaking day! The Nostalgic Route with romantic paddle steamer GOETHE was the best choise to celebrate our 46- years long marriage.Helpfull staff, good lunch, halb troken Riesling - we liked everything.Fabulous! Would be nice to come again! [email protected] from Latvia
This was fabulous. Saw so many beautiful castles on the route. very pleasant day on the Rhine. We sat at the bow of the boat. and it was the best pace to sit. Parking is expensive at the dock cost us 16 Euro in the meter and we have to have the correct coin change for the meter .
We left form Koblenz and was 5 hours to Rudeshiem and got off for an hour in Rudeshiem very pretty little town. and then 3 hours back. We would have liked a few more stops and a little more time at the stops. Would recommend it highly
Awesome day cruise at a reasonable price. We found it very relaxing! We would definetley do it again.
We had a great day and would recomend this trip to everyone. the views were out of this world. Staff and crew on board were very helpfull and cheerfull and could not do enough for us. Many thanks Tony,Debbie,Linda and Neil
Fantastic! Rhein was very swollen due to floods but second time i have done this and just as great. Suggest starting at koblenz and jumping off at bingen and training it back. Would be a very long day boating all the way home too. Oh and when waiting at koblenz go for a walk to where the mosel meets the rhein as a fantastic monument stands there....only 5mins along the river from where you jump on the boat. Must do if in this part of germany.
The trip was on our 40th wedding anniversary, and perfect in every way. Staff congenial and helpful. We had read the blog sites, no one recommended the 11 hour round trip so we also left the boat downstream and took train back to Koblenz. Loved it, memory of a lifetime.
Very good value for money. Well worth doing, but 11 hours is a little long. How about doing it one way with a train return journey?
For the money, it was a great cruise - lots of beautiful scenery including castles and old ruins. The ship itself was comfortable - very clean and spacious.
