Helen was an excellent tour guide and very knowledgeable. The food at the restaurant was good as well. The driver drove crazy though. On the way home the driver got into road rage with another car! Also be sure you have your passport with you! There is really no time for shopping, maybe 10 minutes and you pass many shops you’d like to look in. We were tempted to stay and take train back.

Our tour guide did a great job introducing the history and culture of Kalovy Vary. However we did not get to visit the crystal factory as stated in the Rohr am. No explanation either.

The town was wonderful but the operator kept delaying us. We did not have lunch till 3:00 pm and she did not even bother to settle us while waiting for a stray family. Same in the return trip. Neither Viator Prague experiences were worth it.

It was a very good experience, so magical, and so many things to see. It was picturesque, spent a whole day there with lots of places to eat and drink.

This trip included lunch, which was terrible and unnecessary as there are plenty of other eateries. The audio system on the bus was faulty so we missed half the commentary. The town Karlovy Vary is a gem and well worth the visit with stunning architecture, a variety of spa waters at different temperatures to try, and of course the famous waffles.

The people who booked the tour for the same date as us have not arrived, so we ended up having a private tour. It was clear that our tour guide, Jelena, has very rich knowledge about the history of Prague and Czechia. Throughout the ride to Karlovy Vary she kept telling us about medieval history and about life in modern Czechia. The fist stop on the trip is the Moser glass factory - you will learn about the rich history of this facility, see their museum and browse the shop for items you wish to buy. The prices for most items are quite high, but there are still some which are affordable even if your salary is average. Though I wouldn't recommend buying there if you are flying home, as the glass is quite fragile. The second part, which comes after dinner is a tour of Karlovy Vary. We began with a wheeled tour, which wasn't great as we couldn't see (because of the minivan) most of the buildings our guide was telling about. Then came a guided tour through the colonades, this part was interesting and we enjoyed it. You also get a couple of hours on you own to explore the various shops and drink from the hot springs, this is a very nice opportunity to spend some unwanted money you have. All in all, this wasn't the highlight of our trip, but a very nice tour nonetheless.

As a frequent visitor to Prague, this was my first trip in private travel, and it was definitely worth as i travelled very comfortable with my own private driver.

A beautiful Spa town. Well worth a visit. We had a very good guided tour which finished with a lunch before we were given 3 hours to explore the place ourselves.

The story of the Moser glass company was very interesting. The free time in town was really great to have. I would recommend taking the Diana funicular to get some amazing views over the town.

The city is amazing and a must visit. The tour was ok. I recommend using a another company or going on your own. Not enough time to explore on your own and you waste time at the crystal museum.

The guide was super nice and super insightful. Karlovy Vary is a beautiful place and learning some of its history from Helena was amazing. We only think a bit more English descriptions were needed. It was a Russian-English tour and we got a feeling at times that we did not get the same info. Would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Trip doesn't take longer than two hours by bus in one direction. First if all, it is worth that time spent in driving or traveling by bus. Karlove Vary are magnificent. Beautiful nature, great architecture, wellness and spa on each corner, and a lot of mineral water over there for using. Water has a lot of Sumpor, so be careful with amounts that you are willing to drink. It is not recommended too mach because it can send you to toilet instantly. I will mention Jan Becher museum of Becherovka and nice place near that has nice cakes and ice cream.

This was such a weird trip. We booked this tour with an English-speaking guide. 10 minutes after we departed from Prague, it suddenly dawned on us that this was going to be a bi-lingual tour - English + Russian! My guess is that perhaps the tours weren't full so they decided to combine both the English and Russian ones. That would have been fine, except that the guide seemed to have much more to say in Russian. The English-speaking tourists of the group, myself included, were often left feeling bewildered. The first stop was to Moser, the handmade glass factory and its sales gallery, as scheduled. The guide sort of dumped us there with very little explanation, so the whole group was kind of wandering around for about half an hour aimlessly before we were told to get back on the coach to get to our destination. After all the confusion, Karlovy Vary turned out to be well worth it. It's such a scenic and beautiful place. Once we got there, it was time for lunch. Even though it specifically states on the ticket that lunch is not included, we ended up having a cozy lunch at a local hotel - the only thing we had to pay was the drinks that we ordered. After lunch, we had about 3 hours of free time before making our way back. There was much to do. If you stay there for long enough, you can check yourself into one of the many spa hotels and sample their treatments. As it was only a day drip for us, we spent time sampling the spring water from various drinking fountains, riding the horse-drawn carriage and having afternoon tea outdoor. By and large, it was a relaxing day out. If the tour guide was more informative and enthusiastic, that would be icing on the cake. *Interesting tidbit: Daniel Craig's first James Bond movie, Casino Royale, was partially filmed on location in Karlovy Vary.
