4.3 stars, based on 28 reviews
It was a very good experience. the tour to Soweto was the best! the only problem was they didn't pick me up at the hotel as they did the first day with no explanation, and I had to get a taxi to pick the bus on the first stop.

Excellent- not enough time to hop off to see everything. Soweto guides were awesome
Dont go on the last slot to Soweto
Because we were the last run, the tour was significantly rushed. He told us once we were enroute but it wasn't advertised that way. For the price though, cant complain, got to see it but wish we had more time to actually absorb lol. Morale of the story, dont go on the last run. They will rush it just to make time.
Excellent way to see Joburg and most of it's major attractions.
Recommend 2 days if you have time. Much to see and this will give you needed time. We still were not able to do all we wanted along the route.

I was expecting to be able to get out of the vehicle is Soweto and experience it a bit more. Instead you drive round and only get to get out at the touristy spots which was a shame. We were also very hurried along, we were given a strict 5 minutes at Nelson Mandela’s house. The rest of the bus journey was good and the earphone guide was very interesting.
Best way to explore the different neighborhoods of Johannesburg
You will see the big contrast between neighborhoods/areas and it’s an easy way to move around the city while feeling safe.
Super walk, poor driver with too much (not informative) info
Walk was very interesting and informative - the young man (a local) did a great job in showing us the township and telling us a lot about living there. The driver to the township on the other hand was very bad. He almost screamed the whole time and it was just too many details - don't get me wrong: I love history but I don't like 1 hour lectures in the middle of nowhere, standing in the heat and not beeing in the townships - when I booked a guided tour to the townships. Just let the young guy make his tour, he was awesome, and leave out the rest!!

Good quality for money
Good tour on the city. We only did the red circle (there are 2 circles in the package). We didn’t Get to see all we wanted because there is so much to do in a day. Shows you well that Johannesburg needs at least three full days to visit. Majors stops, do not miss them: Constitution Hill, apartheid muséum, origins muséum.
Great experience
The best is the Soweto Tour, especially "DJ"guide

Great experience, other than the weather being rainy that day- so it was a little cold. I’d definitely suggest the two day tour if you are going to Soweto and have the time. Buses ran promptly and the guides were hositpable and knowledgeable. Thanks!
Very good and informative and kept to schedule.

Terrible reception
The bus driver was cool. But the receptionist in the office was terrible, unpolite.
Super excursion
Great day when time is short. Got a good perspective of history
Awesome !!
The best hop on hop off tour I have ever had! The soweto combo was smooth and nice too!
Love Hop on Hop off!! Two day Combo pass saw everything we wanted! Thx
Pésimo servicio. No recomiendo el uso del bus turístico. Decepcionante
Such a full day
I parked my rental car at the Apartheid museum and gave it a quick run before taking the first extension to Soweto. While on tour of Soweto, I got off the van and thus prolonged the tour, returning with another van. This allowed me to have nice lunch at Vilakazi street, do shopping and tour Mandela's house. I did another run of the Apartheid museum (it is realistically possible to spend 3h) and then I took the final hop-bus up to the last stop - Constitution Hill, from where I took a cab back to my car. So it depends on what you like and what you expect, but for me the tour provided plenty opportunities and I fully would have made use of the two-day program as well.
See all of the Johannesburg attractions, but the comments you hear in the headphones exaggerate. The voice says that everything is 'beautiful', but I like to decide for myself!
