The guide was very likeable and we did learn some interesting history of the city. Although we appreciate there is little remaining to see of the early Jewish history we do feel that the Jewish content could have been greater. We brought an interesting plaque to the attention of the guide and pleased we did. He then kindly translated it. I enquired about a concert hall and orchestra but only later heard about the magnificent casa da musica. The guide told us the fascinating story of Barros Basto. He mentioned he was killed. Although dismissed from the army I’m not sure he was killed (according to Wikipedia)Ricardo was an excellent guide. Extremely enthusiastic about the topic and gave us a lot of very interesting information.
Ricardo was an excellent guide. Extremely enthusiastic about the topic and gave us a lot of very interesting information. The most memorable moment was when it finished. The tuk tuk in the streets of Lisbon is very noisy and bumpy, the guide was very nice but not very knowledgeable…., not all her fault, we had horrible weather.

Ricardo was super knowledgeable, personable, and an all around great guide! Certainly one of the high points of our visit to Porto.

Our tour guide for the Jewish walking tour exceeded our expectations. She was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and very kind. She even went out of her way to help us buy tickets for the bookstore and was informative about attractions in other areas as well as the trolley routes. If she didn’t know something she would quickly do some research and soon have an answer for us. She was prepared with pictures, maps (old and new) and was truly a pleasure to spend time with. We would highly recommend her! We give her a 5+star rating.Knowledgeable tour guide - great insight into the Jewish history of this wonderful city. Absolutely worth the time!
