The Island Whaler is a New Zealand designed jet drive catamaran. The catamaran style and foil assist ensures a soft and stable ride in any conditions. The open deck seating will give you the best 360° viewing opportunity and interaction with the surrounding elements.

Stop At: Deception Pass State Park, 5175 N State Hwy 20, Oak Harbor, Whidbey Island, WA 98277
Take a unique ride on a seated open deck boat and enjoy a 360° unobstructed view as we pass through the waters of Deception Pass on a one hour tour. Also, look for wildlife such as bald eagles, seals, porpoises and maybe an occasional whale. We may not have Nessee or Champ, but we have the world’s largest Pacific Octopus. Learn the tales of characters who navigated these waters and the splendor of this National Historic Landmark.

Every time my husband and I go on this tour, it is ALWAYS a 5* experience! I say that as a Season Pass holder of many years. Captain Brett can be relied upon to deliver a fun and educational, as well as scenic experience, as can his relief captains. Consistent also is the personality and professionalism shown by the guides. Today's guide was Noelle. Other recent guides were Dawn. No matter how many times we go out we always learn something new, see something different. Today, for example, we saw Harbor Seals, gulls, vultures, Stelar Sea Lions, and.... a Minke whale. When you go out, you may see something entirely different such as herons, eagles, oystercatchers and more.Had a wonder trip on the Jet Boat. Just the two of us on the trip as it was a little cold that day. Our crew was great! Funny and informative. Told us about the history of the area and pointed out wildlife - we saw a family of harbor seals. They supplied us with coats because we were chilly. ...
