Actually, it was not our plan to take this tour. We booked a four-day trip, but for the last day, we were the only two tourists. Therefore, Bein harim offered us another trip, and to sum up, we got this trip for free, as a fifth day. This was a huge advantage for us, since we wanted to go to the Dead Sea anyway, but on our own and by Public Transportation it would have been more complicated. Nevertheless, the tour was great. Our tourguide, Joab, explained everything quite well. He was also our driver, but this was not a hindrence to talk well. You could easily understand him, even tought his English was not the best, but he gave a huge effort in it and you could always understand the meaning. While he was talking, you could formly hear his fascination for what he was talking about. Another special thing about him was, that he was a friend of all those local people who worked at the touristic sites. Therefore, it was all the time very friendly and we felt welcomed as well. During the tour, some interesting political facts were told. Besides the present, it was also worth to hear about the past in Jericho, where we could see an old town. It was also somehow funny to go down the Jordan River and see the tourists from Jordan. When we went up to the Mount of Temptation, we were given enough time to go up the stairs, which was especially important for older people (also due to the heat). Our last stop was then at the Dead Sea, where we had about two hours, which is enough to swim in it and apply the Dead Sea mask. All in all it is a tour which is worth to visit. Also if someone might be afraid of going into the palestinian area, it is good to go their with a guided tour. We didn’t start the day well due to their internal operations miscommunication and leaving 7 passengers going on this tour stranded in a carpark meeting point. We didn’t start the day well due to their internal operations miscommunication and leaving 7 passengers going on this tour stranded in a carpark meeting point. We’ve told quite a few different guide that we were waiting for bus 11 but none called the office to report or check. Upon reporting, luckily we have local numbers, they booked a taxi for us to catch up with the bus at jeralseum and it was embarrassing that the bus load of passengers were waiting for us. Well, they did resolve the problem ultimately as we managed to join the tour but about 1.5 hours were wasted and thus leaving us less time to enjoy the highlight of the tour Dead Sea/ I also want to shout out and commends on the driver and the our guide Josef .. he is knowledgeable , funny and good service. He managed to appease the feelings caused by the morning hiccupMy husband, daughter (age 8) and I joined this tour group (or family as our guide liked to call us all) last week and it was easily the best day of our trip to Israel. My husband, daughter (age 8) and I joined this tour group (or family as our guide liked to call us all) last week and it was easily the best day of our trip to Israel. Our guide was entertaining, thoughtful and extremely knowledgeable, he had a tricky name to pronounce so said that we should call him Isaac. We stopped at so many different sites along the way, it was amazing how much we fit in to one day. This is a great tour to do if you are short on time in the area. My daughter learnt so much, which she has enjoyed telling her class mates back in the UK. The things we enjoyed the most were taking the cable car to the top of temptation mountain, seeing the Sycamore tree that the bible reads Zacchaeus climbed to see Jesus and also our trip to the Dead Sea. We also squeezed in a quick camel ride, a stop at an Elvis museum, a trip to the Jordon river, lunch and a spot of shopping. We also met some great people from different countries and it was a pleasure to spend the day with them. On the drive back everyone slept but I enjoyed the 80's music Isaac listens to and we sang along and chatted about it. Yaov was our driver and tour guide while on our tour to Jericho and the Dead Sea. Personally we loved it. He was funny and helpful and informative. He was easy going and showed us things at our pace. Always remembering out names and where we were from. I've been on many countless tours, from the big bus to the red bus to safari tours and much more, but I enjoyed this one the most. Yaov was courteous and generous, even going as far as to buy us bananas from Jericho. I dont only recommend this type of tour but hope when you do you get Yaov as your tour guide. We've decided to add a tour to our list and will be going on the Galilee tour on Saturday. All the best. Thanks YOAV MALACHI. My husband and I joined this tour last September our guide has difficult name for us to pronounce so for short he said we can call him Zachi or Isaac.- he is well prepared and knowledgeable. The tour is fantastic, nice view of Jericho from the Mt. of Temptation and we enjoyed it so much most especially the floating on the Dead Sea.
