We were picked up at our hotel in Karavomilos so it was only a few minutes to the first stop. We had a most enjoyable day with our knowledgeable and entertaining courier - Vanna. As there were a couple of cruise ships in Argostoli, she phoned ahead to ensure we had priority for lunch at a local taverna right on the water. We were not in the coach for hours on end, the coach was small and modern and there was plenty of time at the various stops for photos or shopping - local honey at the monastery or wine after the tasting! We were planning on hiring a car but this took the hassle out of organising and the stress of driving. This was our first holiday in Kefalonia so we wanted to get a feel for the Island from someone who knows the ins and outs of this beautiful Greek gem. This was our first holiday in Kefalonia so we wanted to get a feel for the Island from someone who knows the ins and outs of this beautiful Greek gem. We turned to Avgerinos for a wonderful day trip with our guide Vanna. Vanna knows everything and everyone on the island. She shared her knowledge of Greek mythology, religion, local customs and modern history with us to really bring the island alive! Oh and did I mention the wine tasting. Vanna made it so interesting as she knew a lot about the winery and wine making process. Thank you Avgerinos and thank you Vanna. We will be back. The most amazing day trip to see the sights of the island. From booking to getting back at the end of the day. Can't recommend enough Tour guide was exceptional and the driver was brilliant too. We were not disappointed by anything we saw.
