9 of us, both family & friends, had a great tour with Curt. He met us at the designated location on time, and was considerate of two in our party who had knee and hip replacements. I found him to be very knowledgeable, and quite interesting. He explained things in a very easy way to follow, and the pictures shown were a great visual. Highly recommend him!!

Curt was perfect for me . I wanted to see things at my own pace and cadence and he adjusted and allowed me to linger more in some places and move quicker through others . I knew a lot before I arrived but left with a deeper and more personal understanding of the times and the movements during the 1920s, 30s , and war years . Plus we had fantastic weather!!

I am in the midst of a 2+ week trip through Europe with a very bright 20-year-old young man. On the day we arrived in Munich from the US, we did a Third Reich tour with Curt. Curt held the interest of both this 50-year-old male and my young adult co-traveler in our jet lagged states. He provided a truly outstanding overview of Nazi history in Munich and showed us many interesting sites. Curt was particularly great at interacting with the 20-year-old, encouraging him to share his knowledge and avoiding being dismissive when the 20-year-old wasn't quite right on a fact or two. Highly recommend!

Three hours that flew by, history mixed with pictures and life events. Curt knows his stuff and can keep the younger generation interested.

Curt is not only a walking encyclopedia - he's friendly,  funny and very knowledgeable! He did a private "3rd Reich Walking Tour of Munich" for me in Jan 2022 - a very cold winter. But I couldn't be happier with the hours we spent together. It was my second day in the city and after the tour I've started looking at the buildings and places with a completely different perspective. He's passionate and incredibly knowledgeable about history, architecture, culture and even music! He gave me great suggestions for restaurants, activities and even how to take trains without getting lost in Munich's complex transportation system. I would say he's the best tour guide I've seen so far! I can't recommend him enough!

Curt was everything you could hope for in a tour guide. Knowledgeable and welcomed questions which he was invariably able to address. He brought forth facts that aren't readily available in history books. Wish we had more time with him

Curt was such an engaging and interesting tour guide. Can see his passion and love for the topics he shared. I felt my history lessons come to life. My husband and I were so engrossed and engaged in the whole tour. We were able to appreciate the buildings and spaces more because of the pictures he shared in his ipad. He’s such a jovial and wonderful individual to have conversations with, who was also patient in answering our questions and explaining more to us. We absolutely and thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Would definitely recommend this tour to all who visit Munich

Curt is super knowledgeable about the events that led to the rise of Hitler, and gives a lively description in front of the important buildings where these events took place.

After taking Curts great city tour, I deceided to take his third reich tour as well. He was really able to communicate the depths of the third reich in a way that I had never expierenced before. The tour was augmented by the use of images and videos of the destruction of the second world war and the Hitler and other majior Nazis standing right where we stood. This tour was really able to give me an understanding of how the holocaust came about, something I had never really been able to wrap my head around. Curt took extra time giving us a custom made tour by leading us to different areas based on our specific interests. In addition, he shared stories from holocaust survivors he personally knows. I can only suggest Curts tour as it not only showed me the sights of this dark time, but also taught me a great deal!.

I'm not sure what happened to the original review I wrote for Curt. I know I wrote one when my family took his tour back in August 2017. Regardless, I will keep re-writing them if TripAdvisor keeps losing them... because, Curt and his tour are worth it. He was awesome with my family (sons aged 16 and 14). Very knowledgable. He took the time to explain everything in great detail. He has some really cool historical photos on his iPad. It's surreal seeing the same location your standing at from 50+ years prior. Curt, if you read this, I hope they've added at least one good Mexican restaurant in Munich since Aug'17. Sincerely, The Mattson family.

We did a private walking tour of Munich with Curt. He tailored it to exactly what we were curious about,was very knowledgeable and had great supplemental images and documents on his iPad to share with us to enhance the stories he was telling. He not only was knowledgeable on the history of the city, but also gave us great advice on restaurants, what to buy at the market and where to go back to. We had such a great time and learned alot with him! He was also very funny, reminded me of Larry David throughout the whole tour! Do not visit Munich without doing a tour with Curt!

Great tour, interesting and fun. Curt is very accomodating, tailoring the tour to your interests and requirements (finding somewhere warm to go on a very cold day). A good mix of history, famous sites, and good humour. Highly recommended

Curt's tour was great! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our morning/afternoon Third Reich tour around Munich. The depth of knowledge that Curt has around the history of sites, people and events was awesome. It's not a cookie cutter tour, its your experience and Curt will let you guide what you want to learn, all while giving you a lot of the historical reference/relevance to each site. Definitely a great way to start a stay in Munich!

Curt has a wonderful tour! He was able to tailer it to my exact interests. He is knowledgeable in both what interests adults and children. He tells a lot of great stories. He really knows a lot of history that many other tours don’t know. He has really done his homework.

My brothers and I spent a afternoon touring WWII era sites around Munich. Very informative and we'll paced. Worth the extra $$ for a private tour. Curt also had some great recommendations for restaurants in the area. Highly recommend.
