I like how everything was done for all of us. We just showed up at the Florence train station, and the representative gave us train tickets; tickets and directions how to use vaporattos; and tickets to St. Mark's Basilica.
Please note you will be taking the last train out of Venice at 7:00 PM back to Florence.
This was a great day for my husband and I. This trip makes it easy. No lines for water taxi, train or church. Plan what you want to do and as soon as you get there you are off!
We had no issues with this trip, the person who met us at the train station to give us all the info was great, had nice packets put together with all the info we needed, maps, tickets, directions, no guessing.
We stepped out of the train station only to see the most breathtaking sites on our trip. To walk the tiny streets and taste the amazing food here is truly an experience that should be on everyone's bucket list! To see the history and the architecture is something no one should miss while in Italy!
We highly recommend this trip to anyone!
If you have the opportunity, I would visit Venice. It is absolutely gorgeous. Booking this tour took the stress out of trying to figure out how to get there. It also included the day ticket to travel on the water boats throughout the city.
The tour guide was very helpful. She made sure we understood everything before sending us on our way.
We took a day trip to Venice, and the best way was by high speed train. However, beware that Venice is very crowded during the hours we were there 0900 until 1900. The train was 2.5 hours late, which was very disappointing because we could have spent more time exploring the city. Overall, I would recommend this trip.
This was a very convenient way to take a day trip to Venice from Florence. We may have been able to figure it out ourselves, but it was very nice to meet someone at the train station to get our tickets, directions, and vaporetto tickets, especially since it was our first time traveling to Venice. After our meeting, we were on our own for a fun adventure!
Wonderful, someone meet you at the train station to give you, your vouchers and provided you with a water taxi time schedule. Only thing missing was a map of Venice .
If you have never been to Venice this day trip is worth the price. Made the experience very easy considering it was a foreign city that none of us had ever visited. So happy that we made the trip.
The tour guides really do makes these tours, and the tours make your vacation. We took several with different tour companies and both of our favorite tours were with walkabout Florence, so I recommend you chose this company. All enthusiastic, knowledgeable guides.
Thanks for a great day, Maria!
Ed and Faye - Ascot Vale, Victoria. The whole day was amazing - from road, rail and water travel. Venice was just mind blowing. Such a fantastic tour. Would highly recommend this one.
We felt very comfortable knowing that the train tickets, vaporetto tickets, and admission into St. Mark's cathedral were all taken care of for our trip from Florence to Venice for the day. We were free to wander and boat around on the vaporetto all day in Venice and made our way around the city walking and boating.
The high-speed train trip was great. We met our coordinator at the train station where she gave us information on how to catch the train, which stop to get off on, and how to take the vaporettos water buses to get around. It was a little confusing on how to read the vaporetto schedule but ultimately, my sister and I would just find a boarding area and catch the next one that came along which did not require a long wait. We almost skipped out on the tour of St Mark's Basilica, which is included with the tour, but decided to do it. It was so worth it and the tour takes less than 30 minutes so don't bypass it! I would definitely recommend this service to cut down on the time you would waste to buy train tickets, figure out the schedule, buy vaporetto tickets, and wait in line to buy tickets and then to get into St Mark's Basilica. We only had one day in Venice so this service was fantastic!
This was a great way to enjoy the city. The ticket included the train seats as well as an all-day ticket on the Vaporetto Venice's ferry system, which made it easy to explore on our own.
Absolutely fantastic day out. Venice is so beautiful, it was well worth it, even for a few hours. Easily collected our tickets at the train station and were on our way. It thunderstormed when we were in St Marks Square but this still didn't spoil our day.
This was great to have a moment for someone to explain the trains and boat for us. We were on our own but felt we had just enough information to get around. You could probably book this on your own with our the tour but it helped having someone walk us through how to get around.
This was a great way to go if you just need to get to Venice and tour yourself. The guide met us at the train station, gave us all the information, maps and tickets.
The train was smooth and fast. Venice was gorgeous!
This was a great tour from start to finish I highly recommend this tour we had a great time and manage to see a lot and the train was fantastic we reached 300klm
Great! Guide met us at the specified time and location. All details were carefully explained and put in writing. Included pics of the areas to find the vaporettos/etc.!
This tour was amazing!
Our guide met us at the designated location and gave us an overview of the days schedule. She was informative and very helpful. It was a wonderful day. The only thing I'd change is staying in Venice longer! GORGEOUS city. Do not miss.
Viator was very helpful in organising our one day trip, and explaining how to get to the vaporetto once in Venice.
It was great because we literally had 1 day to visit Venice, and instead of trying to plan and figure things out on our own, everything was planned for us, and the tickets were purchased and we had no issues at all!
Definitely the way to see Venice. Flawless. Was met at Florence SMN Station by tour person who provided me with Train tickets for both directions, Water Bus ticket for 24 hours and directions and stops along the Canal bus route. Wish I had a couple days in Venice.
This was a great way to be introduced to Venice and the transportation system. We will be good from here on out!
Excellent day trip from Florence to Venice. Would suggest you describe meeting place better.
