Hot Air Balloon Flight over Teotihuacan, from Mexico City

Our pilot Fernando made the experience safe and enjoyable. I definitely recommend staying to do the archaeological site tour - Lalo was our guide and he was phenomenally well-informed. Loved this and would do it again!

What a great tour. They were able to pick up us from our airbnb without any problems. Check in was a breeze. And the ride itself was incredible. For having so many different balloons, they really did a great job!

Memorable experience, I’d recommend to everyone traveling to Mexico City. If you get car sick I’d recommend you take something before. There was a couple who felt sick. In the end they felt better.

The tour is beyond expectations, amazing tour, breathtaking views, breakfast included, great guides, the tour guide in the pyramids was amazing, the flight is spectacular! Very much recommended.

OVERALL, IT IS AN EXCELLENT SERVICE! the driver came on time, the flight was successful, the pilot is charming and knowledgeable, very professional, the breakfast with music and dance! I don't recommend staying at the site for extra 3 hours tho.

This is a great experience, absolutely worth it. Also very smoothly organized, they pick you up, get you there, you sign in and 5 minutes later you are in the balloon already. People are very friendly and the views are amazing.

Wow. Watching the sunrise as we took off in the hot air balloons and set off over the pyramids will always be an unparalleled experience in my books. The entire experience was well organized and all of the staff were incredible. I road in a balloon with Fernando who had great humor, music, and energy. The views from above were magical. After the ride was done we were served breakfast before we went on to learn about the town and tour the pyramids. Eduardo (Lelo) was charismatic and really knowledgeable about the history. He was an exceptional tour guide which I absolutely love when traveling. It is invaluable to learn about others culture and history when traveling. I could not recommend this excursion more if you’re in Mexico. It was an easy 45 bus ride out of the city and all the details of the trip were taking care of for you.

Wow what an adventure! We went on the trip for my boyfriend's 30th birthday, and it was quite the memorable experience. We met the van around 5:30am at a nearby hotel, and rode sleepily to just outside the pyramids. It was unfortunately very cloudy that day, but that was the only downside to the excursion. It was a seamless flight, and you have no idea you're off the ground until you remember to look down. You'll be too busy taking picture of the sky in front of you, full of hot-air balloons. It's quite the sight! And wow, the pictures you get with all of the balloons atop the pyramids... I went on top of the pyramids in 2018, this was a far better view and experience! Must visit and do! Our female pilot Mariel was also celebrating her birthday that day (10/03!) so it was an awesome day to go. I can't recommend the trip (or her) enough!

didn't expect too much (as that was my 3rd hot air balloon experience). but it was a great experience from start to end. pick up at our airbnb in roma norte. transfer to volare grounds. pre-flight mini-breakfast. having a photo opportunity inside the inflating balloon. the professional balloon pilot. the actual flight over teotihuacan. and the landing and return back to volare grounds for a buffet breakfast. we also opted for an extended stay, which they picked us up at one of the entrance gates, and transferred back to CDMX.

Unforgettable experience to say the least. The transportation to and from was great and the event was very organized. Such an incredible and peaceful feeling flying over Teotihuacán and seeing the pyramids. Upon landing we had a champagne toast and then great breakfast and mariachi music waiting for us. We didn't stay to walk the around the pyramids because it would have made our day too long.

I have visited Teotihuacan a dozen times in my life, but this was truly the best way to visit. A great experience.

La atención de todas las personas fue muy especial y los plus por el cumpleaños, muy apropiados y conmovedores. La vista del parque arqueológico y los globos es única e impresionante. La recepción del desayuno, y los mariachis culmina la mañana de manera perfecta. Sin lugar a dudas volvería a elegir este paseo.

Getting up so early was tough, but we’ll worth it to enjoy daybreak in the serene sky. The ride was so smooth, the views so grand. Well worth the cost and effort.

Hice la gira el 31 de octubre de 2021. Y este fue sin duda el punto culminante del viaje, la gira de baão fue increíble, el desayuno después del desayuno fue muy bueno y abundante, incluido un espectáculo de mariaches. Luego nos dirigimos al recorrido del sitio en Teotihuacam donde Guia Carlos fue excepcional. Definitivamente si regreso a México haré esta gira nuevamente.

Un super souvenir de CDMX, je recommande le tour en Montgolfière le matin au lever de soleil. Un super tour tout compris, un endroit assez touristique mais qui doit être visité. Je recommande de le faire avec un organisme qui part directement de Mexico où le trajet est compris, ainsi que la visite des pyramides.

Hot air balloon was fun, but got food poisoning from the breakfast. Would be careful eating what they provide

The most amazing experience! My first flight in a hot air balloon and I was nervous. The level of professionalism demonstrated helped reassure me that everything was top notch. The staff was available every step of the way to guide us. The flight itself, floating over the Teotihuacan Valley and the Pyramids, with an expert pilot and a very fitting sound track is something I will never forget. A must do for any visitor to this region of Mexico!

It was perfect, if in Mexico, you have to do this experience. The breakfast party with the mariachis was the perfect ending!

Very early arrival but was very exciting to see the balloons being blown up in the field. The wait time to check in was too long. Hard to get in and out of the balloon basket but the people were very helpful. I failed around like a beached whale but it was worth it. The views were amazing. Breakfast was different for us as Americans but it's an experience. The mariachi was fun and so was the toast when we landed.

The entire experience for me was first class and hands on. Facilities and staff made this experience out of this world. The attention to detail was great. Pick up and drop off communication was great, breakfast and champagne toast was an added bonus that we loved. I especially enjoyed the beautiful breakfast area in the yard. Do not hesitate to book!

This activity was beyond excellent. The entire experience was well-organized and efficient. When I arrived to the launch site, check-in was easy and then there was some coffee and light breakfast. We were divided up into groups (if you reserve with a group, they keep you together) for the hot air balloons and the views were beyond spectacular. The pilots were clear with their explanations in English and Spanish. I cannot recommend this enough. Afterwards, we had breakfast with a mariachi band playing. I chose the option to stay longer and explore Teotihuacán. To me, the extra time was worth exploring the site.

Volaré Is a very well oiled machine. I have been on hot air balloons in Turkey and Africa and this is the best one I have taken in a foreign country. They picked us up a scheduled in our hotel in Mexico City. They had a breakfast snack for us when we got to the flight operation base. The checkin could’ve been a little faster But that was mainly the tourist fault because they were asking a lot of questions. They obviously did not read the information about the required Identification documents provided by Volare. We had a lovely flight with a very professional pilot over the pyramids. He talked to us about the history and about flying a hot air balloon. Upon landing we had champagne as is tradition. Then we had a full breakfast with mariachis which was a lot of fun. It was worth every penny!
