We will begin our day trip with a visit to the capital and religious center of the former Champa Kingdom, My Son, which has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Beautifully situated in a lush green valley, there are dozen of red brick towers and sanctuaries dating from between the 7th and 13th century. It presents a vivid picture of spiritual and political life in an important phase of the history of South-East Asia. After concluding the first half of the tour, we will return to Hoi An and enjoy a delicious lunch.
In the afternoon, we will discover the city of Hoi An on foot. The historic town, which used to be a prosperous seaport city from the 16th to 18th century, is now a wonderful city that cannot be missed while touring the Southeast Asian region. While walking through the city, we will make a few stop to visit Hoi An Museum, many of the town’s renowned Ancient Houses which boast remarkable architecture, Assembly Halls of Chinese influence; Art Craft Manufacturing Workshop and of course the must-see Japanese Covered Bridge. Mostly the houses here were designed with the Chinese, Japanese architecture. Because in accordance with the history, the Chinese, Japanese used to come here for settling down and doing business. Besides, you can recognize the Eastern and Western architectures through these ancient houses.

This tour was great. We walked all around Hoi An city first, stopped for shopping and ice tea, some very old houses where families still live, had a delicious lunch then went to My Son. My Son was one of the best experiences in Vietnam, and our tour guide who spoke English pretty well, was so knowledgeable and friendly.

We booked this tour in the low season so the group size was very small which made for a much more intimate experience. On all accounts our guide was very knowledgeable. From explaining the meanings behind the statues and murals on the walls of the temples of Hoi An, to giving historical timelines of the Vietnamese peoples to fill time between locations, and giving so much detailed and interesting information about the My Son sanctuary and how it was created we could not fault the tour. Be prepared for a long day as travel to the sanctuary is an hour from Hoi An, but the varied scenery and information provided made the trip fly by. Lunch was held at a beautiful garden restaurant right next to the river and the menu was very filling. If you are a buff for culture, history or just like taking photos of gorgeous places this tour will make you very happy.

Thanks to Tran, our tour guide, who made this tour so fun and informational. He brought us through all the details that explains the carvings and heritage of My Son. While Hoi An is an attractive city on its own, Tran was able to brought us the details of the history and culture of the city in great depth.

My Son Sanctuary was nothing that awesome but however still enjoyed the walkabout there. Unfortunately our tour guide was not too well versed.
Hoi An city was really great. The following day made a personal trip there.

Tour guide said about 30 sentences on this 8 hour tour. He just really didn't want to be there and wanted to go home as soon as possible and it was very noticeable. There are so many options for such tour. Go with a different company.

The activities on this tour were really great and it is easy to see why My Son is a world heritage site however, our guide, Key, provided very little information. If you get a different guide, this could be an awesome tour.

I thoroughly enjoyed the whole trip! My son was bigger than I expected pelted and the tour guide was superb. He had personal anecdotes to add to the professional "patter". Hoi An was equally interesting and lunch was very tasty. The trips into museums etc rounded the day off well.
