Martin is great. It was a cold, windy, rainy morning, but Martin’s interesting and informative commentary certainly made the tour memorable and worthwhile. Having seen the movie In Bruges provided great context that Martin added much detail. Seeing the movie before arriving in Bruges is highly recommended.

The tour was amazing we really enjoyed it. Our tour guide Marten was so fun and personable we decided to do the night tour as well. So glad we decided to do this and happy that we got a wonderful guide like Marten.

This was so fun and we got to learn so much. Martin, out guide was a great guide. Funny, knowledgeable and entertaining. Perfect way to learn and explore Bruges.

What a great tour! This tour made my trip to Bruges worthwhile. When I first arrived and was plunked down into the hordes of tourists milling about stores we can find at any mall in the U. S. I nearly turned around and fled back to Brussels; but our guide took us away from the madding crowd and into some of the quieter and more interesting areas in the city and told us a lot about its rich and unusual history. It was really fascinating and I was especially taken with the Beguinage neighborhood. Our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic and a joy to listen to. I am very glad I chose to stay and go on the tour!

Having spent a fair few visits to Bruges just doing our own stuff, today we decided to try the Legends of Bruges walking tour to hopefully see some things we’d not seen or visited before, and we did. Although advertised as ‘free’ there is an expectation that if you’ve been happy with the tour & guide you give a tip at the conclusion of the tour, suffice to say Martin our guide knew his stuff & we both really enjoyed the 2 hours we spent being shown some of the historic sites of the city. If you have time & want to learn a little about Bruges history I would definitely recommend this walking tour.

Bruges is a lovely city and it was great to have a local guide to tell us it's history. The tour group size was just right, easy to hear the guide who was enthusiastic. Our guide also gave us suggestions of other things to see and do in Bruges. Easy to find the tour guide before the start of the tour.

We had a great morning with our excellent guide, Nico. He was very entertaining as well as knowledgeable. His enthusiasm for history & etymology, and his love for Bruges (as well as beer 😀) was contagious. I highly recommend doing this tour early in your stay. Not only is it a great introduction to this lovely city, but you’ll also get a few discounts to use at shops and attractions.

We had so much fun with Niko and learned a lot about the history of Bruges. He was very funny, knowledgeable and experienced in guiding a larger group. I always go on Free Walking Tours when visiting cities in Europe and this was one of the best. There were also really nice people on the tour from all over the world which is always nice. Thank you so much for making our weekend in Bruges even more beautiful!

We enjoyed our walking tour of Brugge very much. Our guide was Zander (I think) and he was excellent. Nice personality and provided great historical information. Highly recommend.

I did this walking tour previously in 2022 but did it again this trip as it is really useful in getting to grips with the layout of the city. I was more interested in the history than my husband but he also really enjoyed it. The group was rather large, perhaps 20 or more which made it slightly less enjoyable than in 2022 when the group was about 12. The pace is fine and not physically challenging for more senior participants. Total time was about 2 hours although there were frequent stops for some information. The city is small enough to do the tour then go back to visit the places you were most interested in later.

Fantastic tour guide- Bram. He is very knowledgeable about Bruges. Had a fantastic nighttime tour. An in-depth historical overview and some interesting ghost stories!

Walking tour lacked depth and cohesiveness. I can not even tell what it was about. It was just walking by some of the main landmarks and hearing a couple of facts about it.

Brecht was our tour guide, and he was fantastic, I can not rate him highly enough. The tour was thourough, informative and I now have a very good understanding of the monumental moments in history surrounding the beautiful city of Brugge!

While the guide was very interesting she walked so fast we could not keep up and lost her half way through. We looked down every street and alley. She rarely held up her red umbrella and we were not the only ones to get lost. Very disappointed that we couldn’t finish the tour but she missed out on a tip!

Victoria gave us a wonderful history of Bruges. She gave us tips on good restaurants and other favorites of hers. We had a beautiful day for a walk about the city.

Victoria was our guide. It helped that she is a native of Bruges. She made the tour fun. She guided us to places we never would have found on our own. We highly recommend this tour.

Really interesting tour! Nice pace so wasn’t a hard 2 hours of walking…relaxed and easy going. Sam our guide, was excellent! Very chatty and lots of interesting knowledge about Bruges…very passionate about his job and city! 10/10…well done!
