My husband and I booked this tour with friends and it was even better than we thought...as we are local & long-term residents, we weren't certain how much we would enjoy this --but boy, oh boy, did we have a GREAT time learning all sorts of new things about Albany's history --esp. those sights we often pass by without giving a second thought. I think my favorite spot was seeing the beautiful Tiffany windows inside the First Church and hearing about how they came to be. Amy covered it all at a good pace, was very entertaining and informative, and she found us nice shady spots out of the sun too! It's advertised as a food tour, so of course the food was great and plentiful. Amy accommodated our vegetarian needs and also with the beverages (both alcohol and non-alcoholic choices offered). We enjoyed sampling at new restaurants. A wonderful afternoon and if you don't go with friends you will easily make new friends before the tour is over.Decided to book this tour because we knew nothing about the area and my son is now in college near here. Great way to learn some history of the area while also learning about some places to eat the next time we come!

Amy does a wonderful job combining her love of food with her love of history into a delightful three hours of walking and eating around downtown Albany. It's a great adventure for a group of friends or just to do on your own, as Amy makes all of the members of the group feel welcome and connected to her tour. Although the walking is not very strenuous, I would recommend a comfortable pair of walking shoes. This was our second food tour with Amy. This was our second food tour with Amy. We went on the Troy food tour several years ago and got hooked on them. When Amy started her Albany food tour, we knew we had to check it out! Amy provides some great historical stories along with lots of yummy eats. She is a wealth of information for each city, goes at a leisurely pace and there is always tasty food waiting for you at each stop. We would highly recommend checking out Amy’s tours for both cities. We guarantee you will learn something you didn’t know and enjoy each food stop along the way.amy was a very knowledgeable guide and the food was great and plentiful.lasted about three hours but the time flew by because it was so interesting.

Six of us from three states (NC, OH, FL) went on a private tour with Amy in Albany on September 8th before a hiking trip in the Adirondak's. My husband and I are food tour veterans but our friends experienced a walking food tour for the first time. Amy was responsive and creative in working with me on our menu and added additional beverages and food for the hungry gang. From the pretzels with three dips, to the tacos and margaritas, to the vegetarian fare and finally to our British Pub food, everything was top notch. Delicious and informative. Amy is engaging and a wealth of knowledge of the history and architecture of the Albany area. She was flexible with our afternoon and showed us the venue for a music festival and helped find a sports bar for the college football fans in the group. A must do if you find yourself in Albany or Troy. You won't be disappointed!
