This was easily our best tour we took while in Marrakech. Abdul was so helpful, funny, and the type of guide you want on any tour. He stops along the route into the Mts to give you photos of the best views and takes the best photos himself (he is low key a pro photographer). We got to meet Ali a local Berber man who was our hiking guide through the village he was super nice. And we ended with such a HUGE home cooked meal that left me in a foos coma because I couldn’t stop eating haha. It was an experience we enjoyed and made our trip to Marrakech. Thank you Abdul.

Definitely book this tour. Ismail is an amazing host and has an encyclopaedic knowledge of literally everything, plus he’s super fun! The activities allow you to understand Berber culture and experience their day-to-day lives. The lunch was better than a restaurant and had a view to die for. Kudos to Ismail and the respect and care he shows for guests, Berber families and even the kids along the route. Worth the trip to Marrakesh alone, thanks Ismail!

I can't find right words to describe this tour - great/amazing are not enough to describe it. Our guid was very vibrant, nice, fun and informative. We were traveling via 5 villages and were able to see totally different Marroco than big cities. Hiking with nice, local guides (60-90 min) and delicious lunch in family house were the highlights! The best food I ate in Marroco, stunning views and a lot of facts about Berbers life. If you want to see something different than places full of tourists, choose this tour.

BOOK THIS TOUR! Hands down the best tour I have ever taken and I have had quite a few. The sights, sounds, personal interactions with the locals, and the stories and history of the area are more than you will expect to have on a tour like this. The day is jam packed with purposeful activities. The meals were delicious and authentic. Wherever you go the local kids show up so a few candies in your pockets to hand out to them would be appreciated. While we had our van driver, Abdul, who was also our guide, we also had another guide, Ali, who took us on a hike, then there were the ladies who fed us breakfast and ran the argon oil cooperative who explained the process of oil producing and product development. Then we lunched at the home of a Berber family who welcomed us and fed us extremely well. All of these people will give you an experience that you will never forget. Thank you Abdul...you have put together an extremely well organized and memorable tour.

This tour with Mohamed was a great experience of Berber culture. There were some beautiful views so lots of opportunity for photos and the Berber lunch was very tasty. As a group of vegans and vegetarians, we were pleased that there were many options for us to eat. I went to specially mention Mohamed who was an excellent tour guide and pleasure to spend the day with. One thing to be aware of is that since the earthquake in Sep 2023, the hike no longer involves the Ourika falls as the path is not safe.

BOOK THIS TOUR! This tour touches all of your senses and reaches something deep inside you. Abdul, our driver and guide, sets the tone for a stupendous day from the get go. On the journey he taps into local experts who provide insight into the culture, history and Berber people in the Atlas Mountains. Our breakfast/tastings at a Women's Argan Oil Cooperative was a delightful, eye opening and lots of fun. There are plenty of stops along the route to take pictures, admire pottery and stop for a coffee break. The full day of activities is interconnected rather than rushed so you feel like you are part of a story rather than the individual parts of a story. We were greatful to a local Berber woman offered her home for a welcome washroom break and then there was Ali who guided us through a mountain trail to our lunch stop. Along the route we saw the devastation to the homes and the rebuilding of lives after the most recent earthquake. Ali's stories were heart warming and eye opening. All along our walk children popped up from, seemingly out of, nowhere. They are accustomed to getting treats from the guides so a bag of candy would be welcomed here. One candy each is sufficient. We arrive at our lunch spot. One can not express aptly the feeling of love and welcome from our host family....you have to experience it. Lunch was a piping hot tagine of chicken, coucous, and vegetables, plus there were other things but I'll leave that as a surprise for you! The route home was different then the route there and it provided more and more stunningly beautiful scenery. A trip well organized and executed. My greatful thanks to Abdul and all the other guides for a heartwarming memory. God Bless.

Amazing experience from start to finish. Abdul was the best tour guide, full of knowledge answering our questions and going above and beyond at every opportunity. Generally just a great guy. Special thanks to Ali the local guide and the Berber family for welcoming us into their community and providing us with one of the nicest meals we had whilst visiting Marrakesh. One of the best things about this tour is the personal element of being in a small group as opposed to a larger coach. As a result of this we were able to head deeper into the mountains and experience true Berber life off the standard tourist track. Fascinating, 11/10, we can’t recommend this tour highly enough.

What a day. Ismail was the most fantastic guide. We had a group of 7 which made it so much more fun. The weather started badly but Ismail made the most of the rain and kept us fascinated with facts about everything Moroccan. The Berber ladies gave a us a tasty breakfast and were very welcoming hosts. The highlight for me was the hike with local Berber guides to a fabulous homemade lunch in a Berber family house. The scenery was beautiful but the kindliness of everyone we met made the day even more special. I would strongly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn about Morocco and see some incredible scenery - including the highest mountain at 4167m high!

An amazing guide beautiful experience in the mountains with our fantastic guide. Ishmael was excellent and his knowledge was impressive with a great English level. We really enjoyed asking him questions about the different parts of the trip and he was so lovely and easy going, great explaining details and knowledge about the wonderful areas we visited The atlas mountains are stunning and the trip gives you great opportunities to explore them in a less touristy way. We had a fabulous time The food at the berber house was 5/5 . Great day out with people who made us feel really at home.

Ismail was an excellent guide, he was incredibly knowledgeable and always happy answer any questions. He was enthusiastic about his work and clearly has a passion for this! Meeting the Berber family was also a very eye opening experience and difficult to describe in a way that would do it justice

My husband and I did the tour with Abdul this week and would absolutely recommend it. Abdul was the perfect guide and we enjoyed every stop of the day. The hike through the Berber villages followed by the most delicious and generous lunch was an absolute highlight of our time in Morocco! We were pleasantly surprised to see very few other tourists the whole day and being part of a small group (6 total) meant we all felt we were getting a much more intimate, authentic and well-rounded experience. We're so glad that we opted for this instead of one of the cheaper tours. Don't hesitate to do it!!

A well-paced, professional, varied and exhilarating tour of the High Atlas. We have loved being in Marrakesh but the 5 Valley trip was a wonderful day away from the noise and delightful chaos. We were picked up from an agreed meeting point 5 minutes from our Riad on time (tour guide Mohammed was waiting). The SUV was brand new, and very well driven by Mohammed who was careful to ensure seatbelts were on etc yet very polite, intelligent and an excellent English speaker. Being a Berber himself, he was very invested in making the day as rich as possible and his warmth for the Berber children and adults we met along the way was clear. His knowledge of the culture and region excellent as was his understanding of Morocco, European culture and global issues. The trip was full of humour and fun. The scenery was beautiful and the Berber people we met, and whose hospitality we enjoyed, were delightful. It was interesting to see the impact of the September earthquake on the communities, especially when we walked through some Berber settlements. We returned to Marrakesh uplifted and well-cared for, thanks to the careful planning of the programme and attentive leadership from Mohammed.

This was a great tour that allowed us to see some amazing views as well as to get an idea of how the Berbers live in the villages up there - which is pretty poorly! This was particularly striking in view of the damage caused by the 2023 earthquake. We were glad that the company was taking us to areas that were not full of foreign tourists and that were clearly in need of support. We were happy to be in contact with people there. Being a small group (6) was really appreciated. The trip includes a hike up to the lunch venue which gives striking images (but is slightly demanding). The lunch venue with a view on to Toukbal is is a great location, with a friendly family cooking (although communication is inevitably limited). Our guide, Mohamed (the First) was exceptionally good: fluent in English, French and Spanish, informative and humorous - a real pleasure to be with. Thank you!
