We were looking to do a half-day trip outside of the city and learn a little bit about the culture and history of the area, and this tour was exactly what we wanted. Our guide Abdel was fabulous and took great care of us, we learned so much from him! The drive through the mountain range was beautiful and we stopped for a great little breakfast with homemade bread, tea, coffee, olive and argan oils, homemade but butter and jam. It was delicious and I was run by an all-female co-op employing and supporting the women living in the area. Afterwards we did a small hike to the base of a waterfall with some great views. This experience was great and I would recommend it to anyone looking for to do something low- maintenance but beautiful and stimulating. The trip was highly enjoyable. Marouane was an excellent tour guide. He was friendly and knowledgeable and brought us to see a couple of beautiful places, including the Atlas Mountains. It was a fantastic half-day trip that suited our tight schedule very well.

Excellent trip! My friends and I enjoyed it eventhough it is just only a half day. We started the day with having a berber breakfast followed by showcasing how argan oil can be eaten and used in cosmetics. We went to Ourika valley afterwards. We should have booked a full day tour instead. Wear your most comfortable clothes and shoes because it was a long walk. Stunning view at the top of the valley. Will definitely recommend Marwan as the tour guide, really knows a lot about the history, very accomodating and no dull moments with him.Everything was my favorite! During my stay in Marrakech I went on two different tours with separate companies and this one was the best. What makes this company and tour stand out from the other company was the knowledge and passion from the tour guides. Abdel was our driver/tour guide has a wealth of knowledge about the history of Morocco. He spoke to us continuously throughout the tour and answered all out questions. He was very patient with us taking pictures and making sure we were safe and happy during the trip. When we got to the mountain we met our second tour guide Jamal, who was sooooo patient with our group of 5 ladies to go at a steady pace up the mountain and to stop continuously for breaks and lots of pictures. Both Abdel and Jamal are so passionate about their country and mountain and you can see/feel that during the tour. We finished the trip with a traditional breakfast of tea, coffee, bread, oils, honey and nut butter. You also get to see the Burba women making nut butter and argan oil. Tips Wear trainers or walking shoes A good trip to go to at the beginning of your holiday, to benefit from the history lesson that you receive from Abdel Pros We travelled in a Mercedes minibus , fully air-conditioned, clean, seat belts Both our guides spoke excellent English Very patient guides, taking care of a group 5 women with mixed walking abilities and who like to take photos.
