Half-Day Hiking in Pico Blanco Itzkatzú Trail
Overview
These mountains belong to the Protective Zone of Escazú and are part of the Cordillera de Talamanca. The best known hills are:
• Monkey Trail Hill 2, 428 m.a.s.l.
• Cedral Hill 2, 420 m.a.s.l.
• Pico Alto Hill 2, 353 m.a.s.l.
• The most famous Pico Blanco 2, 271 m.a.s.l. Its name refers to its rockier side which can be seen from miles away.

Itinerary:
7 a.m.:
Our guide will pick you up from your hotel or meeting point.
8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.:
You will arrive at the starting point where you will drink a hot cup of coffee or tea. You will start the hike to Pico Blanco, take your first views of the beautiful San Jose mountains. During the hike, you will have some snacks and be reaching the highest point about 2, 271 m.a.s.l. Rest your feet and body at the hilltop. Then you will continue our hike downhill.
12:00 p.m.:
You will return to the starting point where you will have a brunch and do some stretching exercises.
1: 00 p.m.:
Our guide will drop you off back at you hotel or meeting point.

Where do I start, I was a little indecisive about this tour but I am super happy I booked it. Not only was it my first time hiking but our tour guide, Eric made it enjoyable. He was super attentive, energetic, friendly, and super encouraging. He gave my sister and I breaks whenever we needed them and then we continued all the way to the top. His photography skills were on point and we were happy with all the pictures he took of us on his phone (he knew all the angles). Also, the view was amazing! Eric made sure my sister and I safely reached to the top and back down. The tour included a snack bag that had water, apple juice, a light & healthy sandwich, an apple, and 2 pieces of chocolate which was great! I highly recommend this tour!
