Stop At: Buddha Park, Thanon Tha Deua, Vientiane Laos
Explore the city of Vientiane and Buddha Park with a local guide. You will visit many old temples and sites that will introduce you to the culture and heritage of the city. A visit of Buddha Park is complete with a visit of the collection of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures that are located near the Friendship Bridge.
In the morning, you will explore the capital of Vientiane. Your first stop will be at the oldest temple of Wat Sisaket, where you will see thousands of miniature Buddha statues. The Emerald Buddha Image used to be located in the formal royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which is where your next stop is. As you are continuing to explore the heritage of the area, from here we visit Laos’s national icon, That Luang Stupa, stopping along the way to take pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph.
In the afternoon, you will travel to Buddha Park, which has an incredible collection of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures. The sculptures are located on the Mekong riverside meadow near the Friendship Bridge. The approximate 200 images date back over 500 years.
