Well organised tour. Comfortable bus and the guide Teresa was great. The actual walk was fantastic and suitable for all age groups
It was awesome experience!!!! Specially Miss Teresa guided us in detail and all of the details was inclusive of historic information .
An amazing experience! Not for those who are afraid of heights but so worth it! I would highly recommend it! Our guide Rachel was so informative and funny!
Great day out. Not for the faint hearted. Excellent and friendly tour guide. Prompt collection and very comfortable bus, very welcomed on the return journey. Great value for money.
Great walk with explanations from tour guide. Highly recommend!
Our tour guide even shared a map of favourite places in Malaga!
The guided tour was very good, plenty of information, beautiful settings and my guide was brilliant.
After reading different reviews, we decided to book this specific tour because it had two advantages over the others: it started at 9.30 instead of 8 and was supposedly a small group with no more than 17 people. However we were messaged by the company Iberian Mobility that we had to start at 8 and there was no option for a later hour (they advised us to read the fine print where they say they can change the times) and we were 59 on the bus. Being a big bus full of people it meant we had to wait for them to check all the passengers. The driver had no list, just gazillions of emails he scrolled through to try to find our names. Finally the guide appeared and she did the same for the rest. She explained that we will be small groups once we arrived there. First lie. Being a big bus, they couldn’t get too close to the entrance, so we had to hike 2,4 km to the entrance on a forrest trail. It was nice, but we arrived late for our entry and there were no more local guides available????? - second lie. They blamed it on some last minute closure of the shorter path, third lie, as I met friends which came in a minibus exactly to the entrance. There we had to wait for the people who wanted to go to the toilets to wait in line and get their job done. It took about 45 minutes. Everybody else skipped the line in front of us fourth lie - you don’t skip anything. You wait your turn. They were so stupid that they randomly divided the group of 59 in 2, and both groups waited for some of their own to pee. They should have taken the ones that didn’t have to go in and let the others wait. So, as there were no more guides for us -they were sold out untill everybody got to the loo, oh wonder of wonders, our guide from the transfer bus, remembered she was a licensed guide there too and took half of the group in. She miraculously had a lot of pictures in her bag to spice her talk up - fifth lie. So a lot of time later, having left the hotel quite early so we could wait for another 57 persons to use the bathroom at the entrance of the attraction, we finally made it in. The Caminito del Rey itself was a really nice outing and the guide tried to do her best to keep us interested. A little bit infantile style for our taste, but she tried her best. However I honestly feel that hiring a car and going there by oneself will be a much better way to experience it. The company should have been honest enough to say that they will not have the small groups and let us decide if we wanted to go
We found our minibus easily for the morning transfer. Most of the participants were already there, about 10 minutes prior to departure. The minibus was very comfortable. Our group was about 20 persons totally.
After arrival to Caminito del Rey, we were met by our guide. We walked together towards the hiking track. There was some waiting time to use the bathrooms and to wait for the groups in front of us to get the helmets, but this was ok. We used this time to eat our snacks. After our group got the helmets, we went through the whole track with our guide. We got some interesting information from the guide on several stops. We had enough time to take pictures and enjoy the scenery, without too much waiting for the whole group to keep the same schedule. Our guide made pictures of the participants on the place with glass bottom, which I really appreciated. Our group gathered on the end, where we had possibility to use bathrooms and everybody got a cold drink. After that, we left on the same minibus back to Malaga.
Everything went smoothly and according to the time schedule. Me and my friend really enjoyed the tour.
Beautiful views and a great walk! The bridge at the end can be very scary if you are afraid of heights but is still do-able.
The Caminito del Rey is truly am amazing walking experience. The engineering feat is truly breath taking. The walk - steady and even paced.
Must visit. The views are breathing. I’ve never seen anything as beautiful. However this is not for people who are afraid of heights
Worth it! A great experience but only if you're not afraid of heights or are claustrophobic and are physically fit. Amazing views, a real adventure and hike.
Views were excellent, but we felt that we should have just rented a car and done this ourselves. The tour guide was super boring and we had to progress slow due to the pace of the group
We had a fantastic experience visiting Caminito del Rey. The tour took 2-2.5 hours and our guide was great.
About the transportation..it was easy to find the minibus in the morning. Although it seemed like there was an overbooking and there were 4 people who couldn’t get on the bus due to lack of seats. We had to wait like 20 minutes so they called a taxi for them, which was nice from the company. Although we didn’t receive any information or apologies regarding the delay. The return went smoothly.
Overall, it was an amazing trip.
The trip was very well organized - everyone was picked up from one location in the morning, so the schedule worked very well. The walk itself was quite easy, but that was quite alright as the views were more than made up for that. It was about 34*C, but there was plenty of shade during the walk. The water bottles received after the walk were much appreciated.
I called the number provided on my reservation voucher to confirm my trip 3 times to make sure everything was OK since I was coming from Chicago specifically to visit this attraction as a wedding gift to my husband. I even called the day before the tour and they said everything was ok. On the day of the tour, nobody showed up and I called multiple times until someone finally answered the phone and said they had rescheduled the excursion for an hour earlier and they did NOT notify me. She said they didn’t have my information, which I of course DID provide when I made my reservation on Viator. She then said the tour guide had left the attraction tickets at the ticket office so we decided to walk 2 miles to get them. The tickets had NOT been left there for us; on top of wasting our time, we were lied to and our anniversary trip was RUINED. My husband and I are absolutely FURIOUS about this whole experience and expect at least a full refund for this poor service. We feel insulted and outraged. I called Viator customer service to report this yesterday after we had gone back to our hotel, and she said she would get back to me within 24 hours, which turned out to be another lie. This is by far the worst travel experience of my life.
.The whole tour organised very well and we leave on time and come bck on time.the driver, our tour guide George was FAB . really recommanded them - Jay LONDON
