Such a neat tour! We were lucky and didn't have a booking after us. We were able to stay longer and talk to the person doing our tour. She was very knowledgeable on how the Olive mill works and about Mallorca in general. Definitely a must do in Soller.

It was an amazing experience. Bartolommeo, owner of the house told to us lots of historical details about the town and local olive industry. Also showed us his house and olive oil production room. At the end of his tour he kindly offered us great orange juice from his own garden olive oil and lovely cakes, made by his sister and some another food as well 🤩 we didn’t expect to get any of them. Plus this house located in an incredibly beautiful part of Majorca, so definitely worth to visit.

We had a wonderful visit at Can Det learning how olive oil is made using non-mass production methods. Our host was engaging and shared his family’s love of the land. We enjoyed Mallorcan snacks that were delicious and juicy off the tree oranges. The olive oil is divine!

Amazing experience in Sollér. The host was incredibly knowledgeable and kind, we felt like we were welcomed as part of the family. The tapas after the tour were delicious and we are very excited to be able to take a bottle of Can Det olive oil home with us to the US!

Highly recommend the tour and tasting. It felt like hanging out with a knowledgeable friend. Bartolomeo, the owner, was a very gracious host took the time to find out about us and answer any questions we had. The tasting included lots of different local ingredients and was more like a lunch.

Very neat excursion! I find culinary history very fascinating, and this tour was the perfect addition to our itinerary. It was very neat to tour the production area, learn about the traditional methods of production and storage, and enjoy homemade treats to go with the olives and olive oil. My only regret is only traveling with hand luggage since I could only buy the small bottle of oil.

Great tour through an old oil factory with a funny tour guide, whom we liked listening to. Great tasting of the delicious local products afterwards! Unfortunately we missed the start of production by three weeks, otherwise we could have seen the actual oil pressing process. Now we have to come back.

This was a great informational tour with a delicious plate to enjoy at the end. If you're a foodie - you will love it. We didn't get to see the factory in action, as they only process olive oil Oct-Feb each year, but we still enjoyed it. Not sure how our kids would have liked it (but they weren't there!).

A special place! Nice to see and learn the old way of making olive oil. The owners have had this business for many generations and so pleased to hear such an historical journey of their family business.

An amazing tour, so interesting and the host is a great guide, full of passion about his families historic business and this shines through. The premises are historic and outstanding. The mallorcan snack at the end showcases the superb olive oil made on the premises. It was worth every penny and I thoroughly recommend you visit when in Soller.

Olive oil is ubiquitous yet few of us pause to think how olives are cultivated and their oil produced. This brief tour provides the answers. Your guide is Tomeu now head of a family business which has been involved in the continuous production of olive oil in Mallorca for 400 years. The tour begins in the hallway of Tomeu’s historic family home in Sóller. Tomeu speaks modestly but authoritatively about the socioeconomic significance of olive oil in Mallorca and his family’s role in producing it. There then follows a tour of the machinery used in production and an overview of their operation. The tour concludes with an opportunity to taste Can Det’s olive oil with traditional ham, cheese and a glass of local wine. It is also possible to buy olive oil from Can Det which is only available from source.

Very friendly and welcoming hosts. Made us feel very welcome. The tour was very interesting and our host was very informative. The tasting session was nice and included some local wine which was very nice. Would have been even better if the olives were in season but you can't change nature

A very interesting experience, Bartomeu is very proud of his heritage in oil production, and that is very obvious in his passion and knowledge of the whole oil process from tree to bottle. Tasting at end was a great touch with fresh flavours!!
