Guadalajara: Mexican Charro and Charreada Cultural Tour
Overview
We had an amazing experience. We went on a Sunday so was also able to witness the Charreada as well as the very personalised service by Jorge and his two assistants. We enjoyed the tequila tasting, learning how to throw a lasso, and riding a caballo.

I visited this place with my sons: It was amazing to see the long history (since 1920) of the culture, traditions, and experiences of the charros. The competitive activities that include learning how to hold, carry, and throw a rope toward your target the charro way was exhilarating. But by far the most exciting competitive activity offered was the catching of the bull (not wild) with a team like atmosphere. I learned so much about Mexican history, tradition, and culture. Of course, the horse riding was beautiful as well. To cap off the tour, the charros gave a very entertaining speech and shared a poem with us describing the nobility that is exhibited by every true charro. I loved it so much that I plan to visit again to enjoy this Mexican tradition and culture that I hope more people visit and enjoy.
