Get to know Tenerife’s traditional gastronomy as you visit some of its wine cellars and Guachinches, traditional wine-maker establishments where you can eat delicious food and drink −and buy− their wine, both made from the heart.
This tour starts at La Casa del Vino, where you will taste 3 different wines (red, white, and rosé) paired with an assortment of Canarian cheeses. You will know more about Tenerife’s wine tradition and taste their best wines.
After this, you will visit “Casa Lito”, a Guachinche located in Santa Úrsula, where you will try delicious starters such as: roasted cheese with mojo sauce, escaldón −consisting in a blend of fish or meat stock and gofio−, papas arrugadas −traditional boiled potatoes− with mojo sauce, huevos estampidos −an exquisite mix of fried eggs, home-made chips and chorizo− and ropa vieja −a pretty famous dish along the Canary Islands made with chickpeas, chicken, beef or pork, roasted potatoes, tomato, onion, garlic, stock and other−.
Then, you will visit “Don Trino”, a Guachinche where you will try its most famous roasts, i.e. churrasco, chops, goat, carne fiesta −pork− or rabbit.
The last stop will be made at Bodegas Monje, where you will enjoy a guided visit and drink a delicious cup of coffee while staring at Tenerife’s beautiful northern coast.
This tour lasts 6 hours and happens every Wednesday and Saturday. You will always be assisted by 1 or 2 guides, depending on the group size.

An overall excellent experience. Our guide Johnny was very knowledgeable & took us the scenic route to the North of the island which was a plus. The views were amazing. The wine museum was a good start & then a private tour of the Monje winery was brilliant with a tasting matching 4 wine & cheeses to finish, again with stunning views. Then the highlight of the day going to a guanchince in the Santa Cruz Hills. The food was as traditional as you can get but absolutely to die for. When we come back to the island this trip will definitely be a must. This has to be one of the best wine tours we've ever been on, and we've been on a few! This has to be one of the best wine tours we've ever been on, and we've been on a few! Our tour guide Jhonny picked my wife and I up from our hotel in the south on time (9.30am after a late arrival the night before was a struggle, but totally worth it 😴 😂) and drove us the hour up to Bodega Monje. During the trip he explained about the history of wine in Tenerife and told us some general information about the island. On arrival we were taken by winery staff for a tour of the facility (very impressive) before tasting three of their delicious wines with accompanying canapés, at a location overlooking the vineyards and down to the Atlantic ocean below. Breathtaking! We bought some wines for later and got back in the car with Jhonny to head to destination 2, casa del vino. This is a gorgeous old winery (now defunct) but serves as a museum to historical wine production on the island and a very well stocked wine bar. Another 4 wines with cheese here then we were off to Como en Casa, possibly the most popular of the Gauchinche on the island and very busy. Here Jhonny ate with us where we tried local delicacies and more wine. Absolutely delicious food and wine in a vibrant local atmosphere. Safe to say a nap was required on the drive back to the south. Best day of our trip for sure! Thank you Jhonny and to all others involved, a great tour with a lot of history (and wine) at a very reasonable price.Had an amazing driver "Georg" 😁 First place was a bit poor with wine, but the second was was really nice, tasty cheese and full glasses of wine. Also the restourant we visited had super friendly staff and all together it was an amazing trip.

Tanto el servicio de traslado como la comida, el paisaje y los vinos nos han dejado un buen sabor de boca de Tenerife.
