This was an excellent tour. We were picked up at our hotel on the south side of Tenerife, and driven up to a winery near-ish to Santa Cruz. We did a wine tasting with canapés while enjoying the wonderful view, and then had a tour of the winery itself which I quite enjoyed. Now, I'm no wine connoisseur, but we quite liked the wines. After the winery, John, our driver and guide, took us to a small, local restaurant, with great food. We enjoyed the grilled cheese, barbequed chicken, and Canarian potatoes (papas arugardas) with mojos. We'd had several of these things closer to the hotel, but none as good. After the leisurely lunch, we headed to the wine and honey museum, where we wandered about a bit. The wine museum had English and German translations, but the Honey museum was only in Spanish (though there are pictures and you can get the general idea. After the museum tour, we had another wine tasting. The view here was also pretty majestic. All in all, it was a great tour of some more local sites with good food and wine and John was very knowledgeable of the area and very nice. I would definitely book with him again next time we're back in Tenerife.
