A must do while in the Algarve if at all possible! We left from the Lagos marina in a small boat with comfortable bench seating. Rui, our guide, was kind and informative, and a skilled navigator in the small cave openings. The weather turned sunny as we boated along the shore, enjoying the many cliffs and grottos along the coast. We went in an out of caves, seeing all kinds of rocks named by the locals, like the Queen, the Elephant, the Garage, the Cathedral, etc. We were lucky because the fog got worse after our visit, and we at 9:30 we were early enough to avoid most crowds. Very relaxing and beautiful! Rui was a local who had swam in those caves as a child (now allowed anymore although we saw some snorkelers in the area).Fantastic tour, excellent guide, for a bit more than an hour we explored the dramatic ponta da piedade grottos
