The tour starts at the central station of Amsterdam. On our train ride to The Hague, we first pass Schiphol Airport, 4,5 metres below sea level and one of the major hubs of European air traffic. Afterwards, we will cross the typical Dutch polder landscape.
In The Hague, we will visit the government district with the parliament buildings and embassies. We will also see the City Palace of King Willem Alexander.
A short drive with the tram takes us to medieval Delft. This enchanting town is well-known for its famous blue and white delftware. Of course we will visit an atelier where we will get to know everything about the manufacturing process. On the medieval market, you can taste "Poffertjes", a Dutch speciality. As a closure, we visit the New Church where the members of the House of Orange, our Royal family, are buried.
Our journey continues through the province of South Holland to get towards world harbour city Rotterdam. You will board a harbour cruise through Europe's biggest harbour. You will be thrilled by the stunning modern skyline, the huge ships, harbour installations and container terminals.
In less than 50 minutes, we will be back in Amsterdam - thanks to the High Speed Train.
Join me on this full-day tour and get to know three very different cities, which are all well worth seeing.
