Overview
The Santiburi Samui Country Club was Koh Samui’s first golf course and provides both challenge and charm with a lush tropical setting. The 18-hole championship golf course came to fame when it hosted the 2006 Bangkok Airways Open. Located on a hillside on Koh Samui’s north shore and amidst old coconut gardens, the golf course has a commanding scenic panoramic view of the Gulf of Thailand and Koh Phangan Island. Most holes have magnificent ocean and beach views. Waterfalls and creeks run through the land adding a lush, natural beauty with the hills providing a picturesque backdrop.
Due to this being a shortish mountainous course this course rewards accuracy, not distance. Small fairways are the order of the day on most holes, but the large greens make approach shots a little easier. The Koh Samui golf course requires a golf cart to get up and down the steep mountain slopes.

Each of the 18 holes at Santiburi Samui Country Club has its unique character and challenges. From steep uphill and downhill slopes to winding fairways that are cut into the forest and meander around cliffs and streams, Santiburi Samui Country Club is one of the unique Thailand golf courses.
Tifeagle grass greens run very fast, and new shade resistant Sea Isle Paspalum tees and fairways ensures good playing conditions year round.
The golf course starts off the first few holes playing through a mature coconut forest and then progresses up the mountain. The fairways follow the natural line of the hills, creating an interesting and challenging golf game. Rock outcroppings found on several holes also adds to the challenge.

Played 5 times over the month of Dec and Jan. Lovely course, greens were in very poor conditions especially charging 3800 Baht from January 1st 2022. One hole Out of play too. Caddies were a massive positive to the rounds played. Overall a positive experience. Club really needs to consider doin...

Caddies were a massive positive to the rounds played. Overall a positive experience. Club really needs to consider doing better deals for people who are willing and want to play a few times a week. Would help get people playing the course. Over priced. But nice course. Get away with charging too much as it has a monopoly on the island. Management could be more friendly too.DRochefort

Au milieu d’une végétation fabuleuse on monte et on descend tout le long avec ,depuis les trous les plus hauts , de somptueuses vues sur la mer et les plages . Jouer Santiburi fait appel à tous les coups du golf et à une bonne stratégie bien indiquée par les caddies . On l’apprécie donc encore plus à partir de la deuxième fois !Jon_Suzy

Absolutely stunning in all respects, the Santiburi Golf Club is about 8 minutes off the ring road between Bo Phut and Maenam. As you approach the property the road opens up and is lined with beautiful trees, pass by the guard house and head to the club. The entrance reminds me something of Belair...
Absolutely stunning in all respects, the Santiburi Golf Club is about 8 minutes off the ring road between Bo Phut and Maenam. As you approach the property the road opens up and is lined with beautiful trees, pass by the guard house and head to the club. The entrance reminds me something of Belair or Beverly Hills ( photos not having been there) Head inside and you will be greeted by courteous and immaculate waiting staff. By know the wow factor of the views and surrounding scenery would have hit you. Sweeping views of the golf course carved out in the hillside with coconut trees lining the slopes of the golf course. Views all the way to the ocean and beyond, just spectacular. The club has an amazing menu at well below par prices, the quality is just outstanding. We ended up going 7 times in the month we were in Samui and I still crave the environment and food. My favourite was the crispy pork and the larp moo ( minced pork salad). This is an immaculate facility that all should try, but whilst there are no strict dress codes be respectful. It’s is a world class golf club.
