Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Pyramids of Giza, Al Haram Str., Giza 12611 Egypt

The Giza pyramid complex, also called the Giza Necropolis, is the site on the Giza Plateau in Greater Cairo, Egypt that includes the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure, along with their associated pyramid complexes and the Great Sphinx of Giza. All were built during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom of Ancient Egypt.

The site is at the edges of the Western Desert, approximately 9 km (5 mi) west of the Nile River in the city of Giza, and about 13 km (8 mi) southwest of the city centre of Cairo.

The Great Pyramid and the Pyramid of Khafre are the largest pyramids built in ancient Egypt, and they have historically been common as emblems of ancient Egypt in the Western imagination. They were popularised in Hellenistic times, when the Great Pyramid was listed by Antipater of Sidon as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It is by far the oldest of the ancient Wonders and the only one still in existence.

Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Great Sphinx, Al-Haram, Giza Egypt

The Great Sphinx of Giza, commonly referred to as the Sphinx of Giza or just the Sphinx, is a limestone statue of a reclining sphinx, a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human. Facing directly from West to East, it stands on the Giza Plateau on the west bank of the Nile in Giza, Egypt. The face of the Sphinx is generally believed to represent the pharaoh Khafre.

Cut from the bedrock, the original shape of the Sphinx has been restored with layers of blocks. It measures 73 m (240 ft) long from paw to tail, 20 m (66 ft) high from the base to the top of the head and 19 m (62 ft) wide at its rear haunches. It is the oldest known monumental sculpture in Egypt and is commonly believed to have been built by ancient Egyptians of the Old Kingdom during the reign of the pharaoh Khafre (c. 2558–2532 BC).

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu), Giza Egypt

Khufu's pyramid complex consists of a valley temple, now buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman; diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been found but the site has not been excavated.[4][5] The valley temple was connected to a causeway which was largely destroyed when the village was constructed.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Khafre's Pyramid, Al Haram, Giza Egypt

Khafre's pyramid complex consists of a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple and the king's pyramid. The valley temple yielded several statues of Khafre. Several were found in a well in the floor of the temple by Mariette in 1860. Others were found during successive excavations by Sieglin (1909–10), Junker, Reisner,

Booking this tour of the Giza Pyramids, the Sphinx, Memphis and Saqqara was the smartest thing I did for my family trip to Cairo. Prior to the tour, the tour operator coordinated with us via Whatsapp to ensure an on-time pickup from our hotel. Mr. Mohamed was our tour guide, and Mr. Mekkawy was the tour driver. Mr. Mohamed was extremely knowledgeable on everything we saw that day, and was very affable, so we felt comfortable asking lots of questions. The tour was indeed about 9 hours, I suggest bringing cash in case you want to purchase anything, but they did not try to pressure us into buying anything at any of the locations we went to!! Refreshing!! They provided us with plenty of water and sodas, and the lunch that was included was quite tasty!! Mr. Mekkawy did a superlative job navigating the chaotic Cairo streets. I can't thank them enough for the excellent service they provided. This tour was an excellent value, and is highly recommended!! Thanks guys!!!!!

Great guide and driver. Guide was very knowledgeable and gave me ample time to explore on my own and take pictures. Also very accommodating, excluded shopping stops as I requested and dropped me off at a rooftop restaurant to watch the pyramids and Sphinx at sunset.

We booked this trip just because it sounded comfortable and convenient. What we didn't know was that the alternative to doing a private tour is chaotic, time consuming and horrible. This is the way you should experience the ancient Egypt. You get a full day, with a private guide and chauffeur taking you where you want to go in the best of comfort. They guide is knowledgeable, entertaining and friendly. And you get all of this for peanut money. It's no brainer!

Excellent tour with an amazing guide. Nesma, our tour guide, gave us all the necessary details and walked us through this part of Egypt's History. Also, she gave us many information about Cairo. The car and the driver were clean and professional and all the stops along the way were really worth.

Everything was great! My tour guide Abdul and driver Ahmed were so kind, funny, and helpful. Abdul led me to all of the great sites and informed me of everything I might not have known. The only suggestion I would make to future visitors is to feel free to ask for more time or explore more than the usual guidelines. You're on a schedule so you can see everything (which is a lot!) So you may feel pressure to move quickly. My favorite parts of the tour were when I took a few extra moments to travel off the beaten path and explore the empty ruins where no one else was taking pictures.

Tour as advertised. Visited all the places on a full day tour. Good communication by the tour agency, which was really appreciated. Much better to view these places with a guide for sure. Had to remind the guide about lunch although that was free (as part of package) and delicious. Note, a $17.5 (250 LE) tip is expected for guide and driver combined. My biggest complaint is that the guide asked if I wanted to visit a papyrus factory, essential oil, and cartoush (I said yes) where they overcharge tourists A LOT and the guide gets a cut. As a tourist I expect to learn about the culture from a place of respect. A tourist should be protected from this sort of thing and taught about it by their guide. Not have the guides themselves participate in it! Considering you already pay for this package AND tip the guide and driver, it's upsetting they try to get even more.

Incredible day at the Pyramids, Memphis and Saqqara. The guide Abdoul (Spanish and Portuguese speaker) was really nice with us and we learned a lot with him. Driver Ahmed was also great. A must-see in Cairo with a lot to learn.

Had an amazing time, my tour guide Mohamed Hamed is the absolute best. He is extremely knowledgeable about the culture and history, very pleasant and friendly. He is also very resourceful, he suggested a camel ride which was amazing. He's patient, we visited countless sites and monuments and he explained in detail the history of each one. We had lunch at a local restaurant and the food was amazing. overall I rate this tour a 5 but it really deserves a 10. I highly recommend this tour but if you're lucky Mohamed Hamed will be your tour guide. .

Excellent way to see all the pyramids, safely. My tour guide and driver were both excellent. They took me to all the best spots and took the best photos of me, all the while keeping me safe and secure from annoying vendors. This tour is a value and I recommend it. Don’t dare try to see the pyramids or anywhere in Cairo on your own. Get a tour guide, it is not safe on your own. This tour was perfect.

We booked this tour very last minute and it worked out perfectly. We were picked up the next morning and spent the day learning about the ancient Egyptian highlights near Giza and Cairo with Tonsi. He’s a wonderful guide - so knowledgeable and nice. To top it off, the lunch was delicious! Highly recommend.

I have to say that Tonsi and Hamdi did an amazing job today with me. They were on time and the best part was that I was the only guest so it ended being a private tour. Tonsi really knows about the history of Egypt and I appreciate that he truly seems to enjoy his work something that most people do not seem to enjoy but he truly does. I was able to see how Egyptians live on a daily basis and lunch was included and food was great. I appreciate that Tonsi remained near my side at all times as there are many people trying to sell you things and hassle you. He was able to send them off and that made my experience even better because I focused on Egypt and not on people bothering me all the time. Hamdi is an amazing driver that knows well the city and finds shortcuts to get to the location quicker. Both guys made an awesome team and they are highly recommended by me 10/10. You will not regret doing your next tour with them so book them and they will take care of you as they took care of me.

The tour of the Giza pyramids was the ultimate touring experience. I recommend taking the tour inside (400 Egyptian Pounds), and then taming the camel ride (100 Egyptian Pounds?). For those wanting to visit the interior of the pyramids, please keep in mind that you will be “climbing” inside some cramped passages, which requires a lot of flexibility. The tour of the Saqqarah pyramids is equally exciting, and shows the birth of the pyramid designs.

Notwithstanding the blazing heat, it was an educational and enjoyable tour, thanks to Mo Salah, my most knowledgable guide. He knows all the hidden spots and showed me many interesting places. Equally impressive was his deep knowledge of ancient Egypt and this makes the ride in the car interesting. Mo Salah and the driver were both very polite and attentive to me, not an easy task under the hot summer heat. They were also punctual and the driving was safe. Most happy with the service and tour. Thank you.

Essam, the guide assigned to me, did an exceptional job. And so did Adel, our driver. Essam thoroughly explained the history behind every site and went out of his way to ensure I am happy and looked after. He also kindly agreed to take photos of me and was overall a very pleasant company which felt more like travelling with a friend! I wholeheartedly recommend Essam and Adel.

Great day tour with the guide Essam and the driver Mohammed from Emo Tours. Firstly, the tour was booked last minute, just a couple of days before the date - yet everything was organised quickly and efficiently, and proceeded very smoothly. I am very grateful to Essam for a providing me so much interesting information on all the sites, and answering my numerous questions. I have always been interested in the history of the ancient world, and even taken a few academic courses related to it - yet I learnt so much during the tour. I especially enjoyed my visit to Saqqara, which is the place I had wanted to see for a long time. Although less famous than the iconic Gaza pyramids, it is nevertheless a very important place in the history of Egypt, and in the modern day Egyptology. I plan to come there as soon as I can, for a more detailed exploration. I will highly recommend Emo Tours to anyone wishing to explore some of the greatest archaeological monuments of Egypt and extent their knowledge and understanding of this fascinating country.
