My family went to Rome for my parents 30th wedding anniversary and we all fell in love with Italy. Our decision to use a private tour guide was the best decision we made. Our guide, Max Parini, was amazing! He has the unique ability that makes you feel part of the culture and allows you to experience Italy as a local. He is very knowledgable, very professional and truly wants you to have an unforgettable experience. The Vatican tour with Max is a MUST! We were able to tour the Vatican an hour before it opened to the general public. We now consider Max part of our family and recommend him to anyone planning on visiting Italy. Our guide Max was knowledgeable and very accommodating. This was the perfect tour for our family, and the best way for us to maximize our limited time in Rome.

Great with our kids. He showed us new and interesting areas that were beyond the typical tourist areas. The guide at the forum/colosseum was also great.

A driver picked us up and while he was very kind he was not a guide and mentioned this several times when we asked questions he could not answer. The guide was to meet us only at the Colosseum, and until then the driver would drop us at attractions and point a few things out, but we were on our own. Good thing we had a travel book with us and could read from that. While we did not end up with the guide at Colosseum, scheduling piece on our part, the 4hrs in the morning was nothing more than transportation and we could have taken a taxi for that. Our tour was 4 July with Georgia. Our tour was 4 July with Georgia. What a wonderful day we had. He was wonderful with the boys and was a wealth of knowledge. We went to the Trevi fountain and the Spanish steps before it was busy. He took us he stopped at several sites and explained so much of the history. We had a wonderful lunch and when we became overheated, he was flexible and adjusted to driving us around and showing us areas of Rome we would not have seen otherwise. We were blessed with an amazing first day in Rome.
